    What we're looking for

    We are seeking professionals for the role of Lead Geotechnical Engineers. The role would report to the Geotechnical Team Manager, supporting the design appraisal activities.

  • Execute design appraisal tasks related to offshore and onshore foundations, anchors, and pipelines, ensuring alignment with specified rules, codes, regulations, and standards, while adhering to agreed-upon parameters, including budget and contractual obligations.
  • Conduct geotechnical analyses for structural modeling using established FEA software like SACS and USFOS.
  • Collaborate in the formulation of bids and tenders for design appraisal initiatives.
  • Operate within the framework of internal procedures, accreditation schemes, statutory regulations, and industry norms.
  • Engage in relevant training activities to foster continuous professional growth.
  • Aid in crafting technical guidance documents, contribute to research papers for seminars and conferences, and coordinate technological advancement projects within LR.
  • Demonstrate flexibility by being available for on-site or offshore assignments as needed.
  • What you bring

  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. An advanced degree (master's or PhD) with a specialization in geotechnics would be an advantage.
  • Aiming towards achieving Chartered or Professional Engineer status and affiliation with a reputable professional organization.
  • Extensive years of pertinent experience in both offshore and onshore geotechnical engineering.
  • Proficiency in designing and analyzing diverse foundation and anchor types, including piles, monopiles, and shallow foundations within the oil & gas and offshore wind sectors. Additionally, adeptness in the geotechnical aspects related to pipelines and cables.
  • Capability to comprehend geophysical and ground models pertinent to offshore engineering.
  • Demonstrated expertise in applying foundational geotechnical engineering principles across various scenarios, complemented by the ability to conduct calculations manually or via software/spreadsheets.
  • Familiarity with leading international codes and standards such as ISO, API, and Eurocode.
  • Hands-on experience with key engineering software tools like SACS, USFOS, Abaqus, and Plaxis, coupled with the skill to interpret their outputs effectively.
  • Strong proficiency in English, both written and verbal, enabling the preparation, discussion, and presentation of deliverables to senior-level clients.
  • Exceptional communication abilities, encompassing technical report drafting, paired with a knack for meeting stringent deadlines and showcasing adaptability.
  • Robust technical and analytical capabilities.
  • Prior experience with geotechnical finite element software, notably Plaxis, or expertise in seismic design would be advantageous.
