    Wintel / VMWARE L3 Job Responsibility

    The Senior VMWare System Administrator shall have strong proficiency in the installation, configuration, and management of VMWare clusters using vSphere v6.5 and above supporting greater than 5000+ VMWare Virtual Servers with SRM, vRealize Operation Manager, vRealize Network Insight, vRealize Log Insight, Zerto, Veeam, Turbonomics.

    Responsible for leading and managing the administrative and design tasks for the virtualized & Microsoft server infrastructure.

    Deploys, configures, and maintains VMware infrastructure. Plans and manages workloads, projects, and other administrative tasks associated with the VMware & Server team.

    VMware Administrator would be responsible for handling VMWare L2, L3 tickets and Tasks such as VM Commissioning, VMware Tools upgrade.

    To provide technical support to clients at all times, and must respond promptly to issues reported by clients, conducting root cause analysis and going through various testing scenarios for thorough resolution.

    Develop and maintain operational documentation and specifications on system builds, disaster recovery, and standard operating procedures.

    Manage & Administration of Disaster Recovery using SRM, Veeam, Zerto tool.

    Good Understanding of shared storage technologies including SAN, NAS, Fiber channel, iSCSI, and NFS.

    Manage and administration of DELL / Cisco UCS / HP h/w and Blade servers

    Primary responsibility to deploy patches with ESXi Servers on time.

    Drive root cause analysis and provide feedback to improve future customer architecture changes.

    Drive customer escalated issues to closure by providing workarounds and fixes in a timely manner.

    Enhance customer satisfaction by responding to all customer filed issues specific to VMWARE & Windows and providing relief either through self or by driving visibility of the issues upstream to ensure they get fixed.

    Improve product supportability and serviceability by actively participating in new design development to provide feedback to drive increased stability of VMware and Windows platforms for enhanced customer satisfaction.

    An ability to learn new technologies quickly Good time management skills with strong documentation skills.

    Experience in handling Windows 2008 and higher version server implementation and administration.

    Hand-on knowledge on various RAID technologies (RAID 0+1, RAID 1, RAID 5 etc.)

    Strong Knowledge and troubleshooting skills on Windows server (Blue Screen Errors, performance issues, permissions issues)

    Strong troubleshooting skill in Windows server recovery.

    Strong understanding and troubleshooting skill of Windows Cluster.

    Expertise in automation and reduction of manual efforts through Scripting/tools

    Good communication skills both written and verbal.

    Identify opportunities for efficiencies in work process and innovative approaches to completing scope of work.

    Provide on-site support at data centre for infrastructure maintenance activities.

    Working knowledge in Scripting and Automation

    Patching experience in SSCM, WSUS

    Work with Local & Global Teams

    Perform in 24 x 7 environment in shift roaster and attend calls whenever assigned.

    Azure L3 Job Responsibility

    Detailed understanding on customer's landscape and architecture

    Implementation of Azure IaaS and PaaS services

    Configure and manage Azure IaaS/PaaS services like VM, storage, Storage Blob, VNET, Azure backup, App Services, Application Gateway, Load balancer, Traffic Manager, Data Lake services, Azure SQL DB, SQL Server, Redis Cache, Route table.

    Good demonstrating knowledge in Azure Active Directory

    Deploying Azure services using Automation templates through PS scripts/ARM

    Hands-on in Log analytics and demonstrating knowledge in application insights.

    Handling performance issues on cloud, connectivity issues, security issues and troubleshooting services issues.

    Participation on all types of Incidents, Problems, Changes & Service Request

    Responsible for planning and coordinating all the activities required to perform, monitor, and report on the process.

    Good knowledge on Cloud Security and vulnerability

    Co-ordinate with multiple teams and stakeholders

    Setting individual team member task priorities that align with priorities and timelines.

    Make important technical, policy, planning, and strategy decisions aligned with guiding principles.

    When appropriate, escalate decisions/issues to the Senior Management and stakeholders.

    Assign and oversee work for team members.

    Microsoft Azure Certifications are desirable.

    Expected Skills / Experience (L1 / L2 / L3) : L3

    Minimum of 6-10 years' administration experience on Virtualization technology.

    Administration of VMware technologies including, but not limited to, vSphere, SRM, Update Manager, vRealize Operation Manager, vRealize Network Insight, vRealize Log Insight, Zerto, Veeam, Turbonomics.

    Strong understanding and knowledge of ESXi Virtual Hosts, strong conceptual knowledge of VMware vCenter, HA, DRS, Licensing & SRM.

    Hands-on experience with vRop, vRealize Log Insight, Zerto, Veeam & Turbonomics tools.

    Good hands on experience on Windows Platform with 2022/2019/2016/2012/2008 operating systems.

    Strong knowledge on install, configure and manage Microsoft Windows OS, DFS, NLB and Cluster.

    Design, Configure and manage the File Server / Print server / RDS / DFS / IIS / FTP / NLB / Cluster services in Windows(2008/2012/2016/2019/2022)

    Strong Knowledge of Troubleshooting skills on Windows server (Blue Screen Errors, performance & capacity issues, permissions issues)

    Scripting knowledge /experience in VB Script, PowerShell will be added advantage.

    Handling escalated incidents or high critical tickets providing RCA.

    Predicting Risk/Impact and Participating in Major Changes.

    Handling 3rd party for underpinning contract SLA's

    Should have good knowledge in Managing Cisco UCS blades, Dell & HPE servers.

    Knowledge on Cisco UCS blade chassis, Service Profile, VLAN configuration

    Ability to setup of resource pools and a VMware Distributed Resources Scheduler (DRS) cluster, Resource Management, Resource Monitoring along with VMware High Availability (HA) cluster.

    Proven experience in ESX Server Installation and configuration of virtual switches, network connections and port groups configure Storage

    Expertise in Virtual Center Installation and configuration and Installation of its components Perform Level 3 Support & troubleshooting with ESXi Operating system.

    Proficient in scripting ESX Server deployments for remote installation and security in a VMware Virtualized Environment

    Demonstrable experience in Install / Upgrade ESXi platform environment and experience ESXi servers patching using Update Manager.

    Administration & understanding of storage architectures, including peripheral interfaces (SCSI, RAID, Ethernet) and multi-processor designs (SMP)

    Experience in managing Mid-range/Enterprise Servers Hardware

    Experience in Production Server Environment with Wintel servers.

    Strong Knowledge about user administration and File system management activities.

    Experience in OS Hardening, performance and OS tuning.

    Fair Knowledge on backup solutions VERITAS, Netbackup, IBM TSM, HP DP or EMC Networker (At least one).

    Basic knowledge on Storage and SAN switches.

    Patch management, RCA analysis, Application installs and upgrades following procedures documented by application owners Meeting SLA in time to fix the errors and problems.

    Good Knowledge of Cluster Administration and should be able to Perform Root Cause Analysis for the incidents

    Fair knowledge and working experience in SCVMM-2012/2016 & 2019

    Experience in Production Server Environment with Wintel servers.
