Cash Application Job Description

• End to end knowledge of OTC, in depth knowledge of cash application/account receivable process
• Apply cash to customer accounts based on customer remittance advice in an accurate and timely manner, redirecting incorrect payments as appropriate
• Daily Unapplied cash reporting for team, Weekly/Monthly Unapplied cash reporting for management
• Daily Bank to GL reconciliation/month end reconciliation for period close (multiple banks and accounts)
• Understanding of OTC cycle and Billing exposure.
• Complete reconciliations of unmatched payments to ensure proper and timely application
• Ensure we have less Unapplied/Unidentified payments
• Daily cash forecast reported to upper management (multiple banks and accounts)
• Assist collector in doing complex customer account reconciliations
• Additional Reporting as needed
• Responsible for month-end closing activity related to Accounts Receivable
• Find opportunities and recommend solutions for process and automation improvements

Required knowledge & skills:

• 4+ years of experience in Cash Application Analyst or similar role,
• Bachelor/master's in commerce
• End to End knowledge of OTC/Account Receivable
• Proven ability to work independently with good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working with targets, Patience, and ability to manage stress
• Excellent communication skills (written and oral) Solid communication skills, able to prioritize and open to be flexible
• Knowledge of various collections techniques and tools (SAP, Baan, Iscala, Pronto, Master Mind)
• Flexible to work in any shift timing
