    Head - EHS

    The EHS Head will oversee all aspects of environmental, health, and safety protocols within our 5 manufacturing plants.

    They will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive EHS programs to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards while fostering a culture of safety and sustainability.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement EHS policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry standards.
    • Conduct regular audits and inspections of facilities to identify potential hazards, assess risks, and implement corrective actions.
    • Lead and manage a team of EHS professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure effective execution of EHS initiatives.
    • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to integrate EHS considerations into all aspects of the manufacturing process, from design and engineering to production and distribution.
    • Develop and deliver training programs on EHS topics to employees at all levels of the organization, promoting a culture of safety, awareness, and accountability.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies, representing the company in inspections, inquiries, and reporting requirements.
    • Monitor and analyze EHS performance metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement, and implementing strategies to enhance overall performance.
    • Stay abreast of emerging EHS regulations, technologies, and best practices, and proactively incorporate relevant advancements into company policies and procedures.
    • Manage emergency response and crisis management protocols, ensuring readiness to effectively respond to incidents and mitigate potential impacts.
    • Champion initiatives to minimize environmental impact, reduce waste generation, and promote sustainable practices throughout the organization.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
    • Minimum of 16 years of experience in EHS leadership roles within manufacturing environments, Indepth knowledge of relevant EHS regulations and standards, including but not limited to OSHA, EPA, and ANSI requirements.
    • Proven track record of developing and implementing effective EHS programs that drive continuous improvement and ensure regulatory compliance.
    • Strong leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve EHS goals and objectives.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
    • Analytical mindset with the ability to gather, analyze, and interpret data to inform decisionmaking and drive performance improvements.
    • Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or similar professional certifications preferred.
    • Experience working with crossfunctional teams and managing relationships with regulatory agencies.
