    Role purpose

    The Senior Content Marketing Manager is a senior role within Think Little Big Marketing Ltd and is responsible for creating, developing, and driving the content strategies for our clients and ourselves.

    Working in close liaison with the other senior team members, this is a hands-on that role will support the business to identify requirements, implement planning and deliver the content, SEO, and social media strategies that are needed by Think Little Big Marketing itself and, more importantly, our clients. The objective is to increase brand awareness, increase lead generation and ultimately to deliver sales to these businesses. This role takes the lead in co-ordinating and facilitating the service delivery.

    This is a fully remote role. Some flexibility with working hours will be required to facilitate occasional online meetings with UK clients.

    Reporting

    This role reports to the UK based Co-founder and Account Director.

    This role initially has no direct reports but this will change as the company grows.

    This role co-ordinates and liaises with several freelance content writers.

    Role requirements


    • Working across TLBM and our client businesses, you will liaise with the other members of the team to help to guide and implement the delivery of effective content marketing strategies.


    • Lead content strategy and provision for TLBM and our client brands including management of ongoing content and social media calendars in collaboration with the client, SEO and graphic design teams.


    • Define, implement, and optimize SEO strategies in liaison with the SEO team.


    • Manage projects to plan, execute, and deliver effective content initiatives. This includes managing timelines, budgets, resources, and co-ordination across respective teams.


    • Build relationships with key client decision-makers and acting as a trusted advisor on all aspects of brand and content strategy.


    • The work is varied and multiple projects/campaigns/areas of focus will take place concurrently and therefore the ability to operate at this level is essential. Good work planning is a pre-requisite.


    • Conduct research and analysis on client markets and competitors and develop and lead the content marketing strategy and execution across all relevant channels.


    • Manage a team of freelance content providers including the provision of clear content briefs, to meet content requirements in a timely manner.


    • Liaison with the Account Director and with the clients will be required to prepare the appropriate digital marketing services to meet with their requirements and to deliver a return on investment.


    • Ensure both TLBM and our client websites are regularly reviewed, updated, and redesigned and rewritten where necessary.


    • Research/develop ideas to create/edit original content including but not limited to: website and blog content, news items, landing pages, social media posts, articles, white papers, e-books, case studies, email campaigns, webinars, video scripts, multi-media content, info-graphics and more.


    • Ensure all content meets high-quality standards and appropriate corporate style while staying informed of current trending topics, new developments in technology and industry best practices.


    • Ensure ongoing assessment, tracking and measurement of content and campaign effectiveness to report regularly.


    • Develop and communicate content calendars.


    • Identify and implement strategies to increase business leads.


    • Continually test content formats and distribution channels to determine the optimal approach to reach each businesses' target markets.


    • Review competitor marketing content to ensure differentiated positioning.


    • Operate within agreed budget and corporate parameters.


    • Ensure all work is delivered within the appropriate corporate branding guidelines.

    Skills required


    • Strong command of the English language including punctuation, spelling and grammar.


    • Proficient knowledge and experience of writing compelling content across a range of subjects and formats


    • Strong project management skills with the ability to analyse results.


    • An understanding of on-page SEO & keyword research.


    • Well organized and able to prioritise, multi-task and work independently.


    • Good working ability in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and social media sites.


    • A strong team work ethic able to build and maintain internal and external working relations.


    • A high level of integrity and confidentiality.

    Essential skills


    • Previous B2B marketing experience with a company with a UK, US, Australian or European market.


    • Experience of copy writing across a broad spectrum of mediums including websites, social media and print.


    • Experience of the effective use of content marketing to support SEO to drive inbound traffic and leads.


    • Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines in a multi-brand environment.


    • Excellent written and spoken English.


    • Experience of creating a content calendar in line with market developments, client requirements and with SEO input.


    • Experience of using social media for business including calendar and posting management.


    • Experience of writing content for websites within a template format.


    • Understanding of PPC.


    • Experience of working with graphic design/development/SEO teams.


    • Experience of interpreting businesses' requirements to develop digital marketing solutions that deliver ROI.


    • An understanding of key digital metrics like reach, impressions, engagement rate, etc.


    • Use of a web CMS, particularly WordPress.


    • Professional attitude.


    • Experience of the Microsoft Office suite.


    • Team player.

    • Technical knowledge of UK, Australian or US accountancy.
