About this opportunity
The purpose of the role of GCP Architect is to ensure operational architectural coherence and operational stability, support the migration of on-prem and other cloud applications to the GCP environment taking both business needs as well as operation KPIs into account

What you will do

• Ensure that technical solutions provide value to the organization

• Utilize best practices that will ensure the long-term viability of the client's environment.

• Assist with the drafting and editing of Statements of Work (SOWs)

• Provide architectural design and direction to other team members

• Mentor and orient intermediate and junior Engineers & consultants

• Supports the existing Automation Portals and provisioning scripts

• Serves as a subject matter expert for automation and orchestration

• Understanding of architecture frameworks, architecture artifacts, and governance.

• Knowledge of project costing, estimating, and commercial awareness

• Architectural appreciation of operability, reliability, security, performance, and sustainability (in the context of infrastructure and cloud platform architectures).

• lead the SRT Bridge ( P1, P2 call)

• Vendor Management

What You will bring

• Experience with cloud-native application design and development using APIs, containers, Kubernetes, preferably on the Google Cloud Platform

• Practical knowledge of containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes

• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud GCE a GCVE

• Advanced level support experience on Linux OS ( RHEL, Rocky Linux) and Windows OS

• Proficient in Git and Bash or Big Query

• Ability to do standard Linux system administration tasks with ease, such as mounting and formatting disks, checking resource usage, monitoring and debugging processes, setting up cron jobs, building Systemd units and timers, etc.

• Proficient in writing in at least one of the following: Python, Ansible, PHP, or Typescript.

• Proven expertise throughout the full stack in troubleshooting and debugging web apps (i.e. the application layer, the database layer, the network layer, the OS)

• Incident management and Problem-Solving Skills

• Experience in leading the design, implementation, and Support of Google Cloud projects.

• Helping to manage dependencies, risks, and requirements between stakeholders in the delivery of change.

• Implement robust monitoring and logging solutions using tools like Zabbix or Prometheus and Grafana. Create alerts and dashboards to ensure system health and performance.

• Ability to provide automation solutions.
Professional Certification: Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect
Experience: Overall IT 8 + years
a. 9+ years of rich experience in IT infra-Services
b. 5 years of experience in Cloud Administration
