Job Overview
NV5 Mission Critical is seeking a Senior Power System Engineer specializing in ETAP for our Bangalore location. This full-time role requires 7 to 10 years of work experience in power systems engineering. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise in ETAP and other essential skill sets to contribute to various projects within the company. This is a critical opportunity for a candidate driven by a passion for excellence and innovation in engineering.
Qualifications and Skills
- Degree level education in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
- Minimum of 4 to 8 years professional experience in design consultancy.
- Good knowledge & experience in Electrical Design
- Proven experience in ETAP for conducting comprehensive power system analysis and studies, considered a mandatory skill.
- Specialist certifications from ETAP Training Institute would be an added advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams and present technical information effectively.
Roles and Responsibilities
- ETAP Power system studies for feasibility Study and Detail engineering projects.
- Hands on experience and perform Power system studies such as Load Flow, Short circuit, Arc Flash, Motor starting, Ground grid, Protective relay coordination, Power factor correction, Harmonic analysis, Motor Stability Analysis.
- Proficient on Electrical engineering design deliverables such as load list, SLD, cable sizing, equipment sizing, cable and conduct schedule, etc.
- Prepare ETAP Power system studies reports as per India / International standards.
- Interpretation and implementation of IEEE/ANSI & IEC standards.
- Coordination with Electrical project team for project deliverables.
- Conduct comprehensive power system analysis using ETAP to ensure reliability and efficiency in project implementations.
- Design and develop electrical systems that meet project specifications and comply with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate power system designs and resolve any interfacing challenges encountered.
- Adaptability and eagerness to stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies to maintain excellence.
Preferred candidate profile
- Candidates should be from Design Consultancy.
- Good Knowledge on relevant Data Centre codes (e.g., TIA, Uptime, etc.) would be a distinct advantage.
- Experience in using software such as ETAP, Dialux.
- Experience in managing multiple projects would be an advantage.
