    Who we are looking for and why

    We are looking for a dynamic People Generalist to join our team. This role will play a vital role in supporting our organization and employees. You will support a wide range of People functions including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, labour laws, and point of contact to go to with any people-based concerns. This broad experience is invaluable for understanding the diverse aspects of the People function. Their role is to provide a positive employee experience and ensure it's forward-thinking.

    This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about People and loves working in a fast-paced and dynamic startup environment. We are seeking a self-motivated and energetic individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills.     Requirements

    What a "HR Generalist" means to us

    There are certain functions and capabilities we believe are essential to the role:

    • Managing the end-to-end recruitment of open roles; including understanding business needs, drafting job descriptions, sourcing and screening candidates, conducting candidate interviews, managing the recruitment process with relevant stakeholders and facilitating the offer process
    • Build and maintain a sustainable talent pipeline to meet current and future manpower needs
    • Manage the internship/graduate program
    • Conducting background checks and preparing employment contracts,
    • Managing employee onboarding and offboarding, including new hire orientation
    • Coordinate and execute the recognition of employee milestones and celebrations fostering a positive workplace
    • Manage all aspects of Operations, administer employee benefits programs, maintain leave management, insurance and wellness plans, and other employee benefits
    • Organizing company events and employee engagement activities
    • Respond to employee inquiries and issues related to People policies and procedures
    • Maintain People records, related documentation and ensure accuracy and confidentiality of employee data
    • Support the performance management process, including goal setting, performance evaluation training, and all People Processes
    • Liaise with external vendors to secure goods and services, conducting negotiations to exure cost effective and high-quality outcomes
    • Manage travel policy for employees for business trips or those visiting from other locations, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience
    • Administering People policies and procedures and ensuring that practices are compliant with statutory requirements and guidelines
    • Participating in the development or improvement of people management processes
    • Manage employee relations matters, including investigating and resolving employee grievances and conflicts
    • Handle general administrative duties and ad-hoc projects.
    • Other People-related duties as assigned.

    What we consider relevant qualifications, experience and knowledge

    Skills and capabilities we believe are highly relevant include:

    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
    • 4-6 years of HR experience, preferably in a startup or fast-paced environment
    • Should have experience working with startups or organizations of similar industry or size
    • Must have experience in recruiting, including developing job descriptions, conducting interviews, and managing the hiring process.
    • Experience with recruitment and onboarding
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment and adjust to a startup's quickly changing needs
    • Ability to conduct research, access resources, prioritize and juggle multiple projects
    • Good to have a clear understanding of employment laws and other compliance issues
    • Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of HRMS is a plus
    • Familiar with data management, including tracking employee data, generating reports
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and integrity
    • Ability to build relationships with & influence stakeholders
    • Passionate about creating a positive work culture and employee experience
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Self-motivated with a proactive and can-do attitude

    • Begin by listening, observing and learning about the organization
    • Familiarise yourself with the Hugosave brand as well as all other Atlas Group products, services and target audience
    • Familiarise yourself with all the functions and teams
    • Get onboard with the People tools (ATS, HRIS etc) and
    • Understanding of the recruitment process and supporting in the hiring process
    • Familiarise yourself with the employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding
    • Understand day-to-day tasks as well as long-term duties

    Found your feet (60 Days):

    • Be up-to-date with the policies in the organisation
    • Able to independently access functional tools and systems to perform recruitment, onboarding etc
    • Administering benefits administration and related processes such as employee milestones
    • Managing the recruitment process
    • Able to support in managing employee queries

    Well into your stride (90 Days)

    • Ensuring People policies and procedures are followed consistently across the organization
    • Become accustomed to company norms and unwritten rules
    • Working independently to manage recruitment with relevant stakeholders
