    Linux Automation EngineerLocation:

    Primary Skills:
    Linux, Ansible & Any Scripting Languages.

    We are looking for a Linux engineer who is highly motivated and ready to work in a team environment. The engineer should possess good communication skills and should be able to articulate complex topics to stakeholders. Has a large Linux server fleet and hence the candidate should be able to support large number of servers.

    In addition to catering for a dynamic environment, the candidate should also be able to collaborate with other teams such as automation/backup/VMware.

    The job also requires hands-on expertise on cloud technologies. Knowledge of automation and configuration management technologies such as Ansible/Puppet is a huge addition. The candidate should be able to work in a 24X7 environment with On-Call support.


    ResponsibilitiesInstallation, configuration, troubleshooting of Linux servers 6,7 RHEL, Centos, OULResponsible for patching Linux servers using yum and resolving issues in PatchingGeneral OS troubleshooting skills – Performance, log analysis, disk related issues, alert remediationsExtensive hands-on on bash or other scripting for automationKnowledge of SFTP and basic network troubleshooting.

    Knowledge of tomcat and basic troubleshooting – Java basics, tomcat performance parametersHands-on on AWS – Able to spin up EC2, patching in AWS, SSM, security groups, disk expansions in AWS using AWS tools.

    Experienced in supporting day-to-day operational issues and runtime operationsAble to communicate complex topics to stakeholders.
    Has a basic hands-on on VMware – Able to do snapshots, migration, resource additions etcBasic knowledge of Ansible/puppet needed (Able to troubleshoot puppet run time issues and ansible deployment failures)Vulnerability management and maintaining securityAble to use ITIL process and ticketing tools (Familiarity with ServiceNow is a plus)
