Job descriptionThe Development Lead will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the development process, including project planning, development, testing, deployment as well as leading a team of developers.

The Lead will be responsible for managing the day-to-day development activities and will work closely with the Development Manager and other department heads to ensure that the project is delivered on time and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement project plans, including project scope, timelines, and budgetsDetermining application functions and building objectives with the teamMonitor project progress, make adjustments as necessary to ensure timely completion, and communicate project status and progress to leadership and stakeholdersEnsure that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standardsLead and mentor a team of developersEstablish and maintain a high-performing team through regular team meetings, performance evaluations, and professional development opportunitiesProvide guidance and mentorship to team members, and lead by exampleEnsuring that written code falls in line with the project objectives.

Manage the day-to-day development activities, including project planning, development, testing, and deploymentIdentifying and resolving immediate and potential issues with applicationsEnsure that the team is following best practices for software development, including coding standards and version control protocolsConduct regular code reviews of team membersFacilitate communication and collaboration between the offshore development team and other departments, including design, product management, and QAWork with the Development Manager to identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivityKeep up to date with the latest developments in web technologies and big data to ensure that the team is using the most appropriate tools and techniquesQualifications:A minimum of

years of experience in software development management, including at least

years of experience leading an offshore development teamExperience with customer-facing web applications and architecturesSolid understanding of big data architectures preferredFull stack development experience (Java development, database design and development, UI)Experience working with remote teams and a proven ability to establish and maintain effective communication channelsExcellent written and verbal communication and presentation skillsExperience with Software Development Lifecycle, including discovery, design, development, testing, deployment, maintenanceExperience with software best practices, coding standards and version control protocolsKnowledge of current frameworks, SDKs, APIs, and libraries.
