Main Tasks & Requirements
Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence is currently recruiting for a Technical Writer to author, edit, and review product documentation. In this role, you will work with internal resources, software developers, and attend engineering meetings to gather, write, and publish technical information for our products. You will produce a variety of top-quality materials such as technical documentation, release documentation (CAD Readers, Software Requirements, What's New, etc.), screenshot markups, and training videos.

The role requires strong writing skills, the ability to synthesize technical content from a Subject Matter Expert and create documentation that clearly explain the topic/task to end users. Responsibilities
Develop comprehensive documentation that meets organizational standards
Create and maintain in-depth user guides, FAQs, technical overviews, and product help documentation
Produce clear and concise material, taking care of editing and proofreading tasks
Revise or rewrite existing technical literature
Test both the product and its documentation for accuracy and consistency
Regular use of a content management system (CMS) to manage the lifecycle of technical documentation including draft, review, and publish phases
Maintain localization of the product documentation, procedure involves packaging and submitting help source files to translation company, coordinating with internal language speakers to answer translator questions, reviewing and fixing output bugs as reported during QA
Assist in planning, scheduling, and tracking documentation work to meet product release dates and client deliverables
Collaborating with engineers, developers and other technical specialists to ensure materials accuracy
Gather and analyze technical and product information from various sources to document new or changing product functionality
Obtain a deep understanding of products and services to translate complex product information into simple, polished, and engaging content
Develop content in alternative media forms for maximum usability, with a consistent and cohesive voice across all documentation
Maintain our internal documentation ticketing system, solving issues presented by customers
Adapt rapidly to a changing industry and be able to adjust responsibilities, time, and objectives accordingly
Customer Success
Establish strong relationships with stakeholders and understand their requirements in order to ensure deliverables meet their objectives
Review and quality check files to make sure clients receive accurate and complete deliverables
Work with colleagues to develop common best practices to smooth the documentation process and improve quality and timely delivery
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in relevant technical field
Ability to analyse and synthesize complex content, with a keen eye for detail
Strong technical aptitude–ability to quickly learn new concepts and tools (i.e. MadCap authoring suite, AP Style Guidelines)
Excellent writing and proofreading skills
Ability to write clearly and succinctly for multiple audiences
Excellent work ethic and strong intellectual curiosity
Ability to work quickly, efficiently, and multi-task
Experience writing content for software applications using a CMS
Excellent communication and collaboration skills and fluent in English
Highly motivated hands-on, adaptable individual to produce results in a deadline driven environment
Willingness to global travel (up to 20%)
