    Role- Venture Capital Fund Manager (Pref from Gaming Domain)

    We focus on pre-seed to Series A investments in game studios & platforms, Esports, digital assets and associated technologies. We have a bias for startups in Europe, Africa, Middle East, and India

    Job Responsibilities

    The job of a venture capital (VC) fund manager is multifaceted and involves various responsibilities related to managing a venture capital fund and making investment decisions. Here are some key aspects of their role:

    1. Fundraising: Responsible for raising capital from limited partners (LPs) such as institutional investors, high-net-worth individuals, and corporations. The person will pitch the fund's investment strategy, track record, and potential returns to attract investors.

    2. Deal sourcing and evaluation: Actively source potential investment opportunities by networking, attending industry events, and reviewing pitches from entrepreneurs. Evaluate these opportunities by conducting due diligence, assessing the market, the team's capabilities, the product or service, and the potential for growth and profitability.

    3. Participate in Investment decision-making: Based on team's evaluation, Assess the risks and rewards of each opportunity and consider factors like market potential, competitive landscape, intellectual property, and growth projections. The fund manager presents potential investments to the investment committee or advisory board for approval.

    4. Portfolio management: Once investments are made, fund manager will oversee the portfolio of companies in which the VC fund has invested. Provide guidance and support to portfolio companies, monitor their progress, and may participate in board meetings to ensure strategic alignment and assist with critical decision-making.

    5. Risk management: Responsible for managing and mitigating investment risks. The person will continuously assess the market landscape, industry trends, and potential challenges that could impact the performance of the fund's portfolio. Responsible to develop risk mitigation strategies and adapt investment strategies accordingly.

    6. Reporting and investor relations: Responsible to maintain regular communication with their LPs. They provide updates on the fund's performance, investments, and any material developments. They prepare reports, financial statements, and other documentation to fulfill regulatory and reporting requirements.

    7. Fund performance and exit strategies: Responsible to track the performance of the fund's investments and work towards achieving attractive returns for their investors. Actively manage the portfolio to maximize value creation and develop exit strategies, such as mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings (IPOs), or secondary market sales, to provide liquidity to investors.

    8. Industry engagement: The person needs to participate in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to stay abreast of market trends, develop relationships with other investors, and enhance their industry knowledge and reputation.

    Overall, the job of a VC fund manager requires a combination of financial acumen, industry expertise, strategic thinking, relationship-building skills, and a deep understanding of the venture capital ecosystem. He/She will play a critical role in identifying promising start-up and supporting their growth to generate attractive returns for the investors.

    Experience- 5+ years of experience preferrably in Gaming Industry
