TheRole:

Weare seeking a seasoned and proficient Senior Python Data Engineerwith substantial experience in cloud technologies. As a pivotalmember of our data engineering team you will play a crucial role indesigning implementing and optimizing data pipelines ensuringseamless integration with cloud platforms. The ideal candidate willpossess a strong command of Python data engineering principles anda proven track record of successful implementation of scalablesolutions in cloudenvironments.

Responsibilities:

1.DataPipelineDevelopment:

Design developand maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines using Python andcloudbasedtechnologies.

ImplementExtract Transform Load (ETL) processes to seamlessly move data fromdiverse sources into our cloudbased datawarehouse.

2.CloudIntegration:

Utilize cloudplatforms (e.g. Google Cloud AWS Azure) to deploy manage andoptimize data engineeringsolutions.

Leveragecloudnative services for storage processing and analysis of largedatasets.

3.DataModelling andArchitecture:

Collaborate withdata scientists analysts and other stakeholders to design effectivedata models that align with businessrequirements.

Ensure thescalability reliability and performance of the overall datainfrastructure on cloudplatforms.

4.OptimizationandPerformance:

Continuouslyoptimize data processes for improved performance scalability andcosteffectiveness in a cloudenvironment.

Monitor andtroubleshoot issues ensuring timely resolution and minimal impacton dataavailability.

5.QualityAssurance:

Implement dataquality checks and validation processes to ensure the accuracy andcompleteness of data in the cloudbased datawarehouse.

Collaborate withcrossfunctional teams to identify and address data qualityissues.

6.CollaborationandCommunication:

Work closelywith data scientists analysts and other teams to understand datarequirements and provide technicalsupport.

Collaborate withother engineering teams to seamlessly integrate data engineeringsolutions into larger cloudbasedsystems.

7.Documentation:

Create andmaintain comprehensive documentation for data engineering processescloud architecture andpipelines.

TechnicalSkills:

1.ProgrammingLanguages: Proficiency in Pythonfor data engineering tasks scripting andautomation.

2.DataEngineeringTechnologies:

Extensiveexperience with data engineering frameworks like distributed dataprocessing.

Understandingand handson experience with workflow management tools like ApacheAirflow.

3.CloudPlatforms:

Indepthknowledge and handson experience with at least one major cloudplatform: AWS Azure or Google Cloud.

Familiarity withcloudnative services for data processing storage and analytics.

4.ETLProcesses: Proven expertise indesigning and implementing Extract Transform Load (ETL)processes.

5.SQL andDatabases: Proficient in SQLwith experience in working with relational databases (e.g.PostgreSQL MySQL) and cloudbased databaseservices.

6.DataModeling: Strong understandingof data modeling principles and experience in designing effectivedatamodels.

7.VersionControl: Familiarity withversion control systems such as Git for tracking changes in codeandconfigurations.

8.CollaborationTools: Experience usingcollaboration and project management tools for effectivecommunication and projecttracking.

9.Containerizationand Orchestration: Familiaritywith containerization technologies (e.g. Docker) and orchestrationtools (e.g.Kubernetes).

10.Monitoringand Troubleshooting: Ability toimplement monitoring solutions and troubleshoot issues in datapipelines.

11.DataQuality Assurance: Experience inimplementing data quality checks and validationprocesses.

12.AgileMethodologies: Familiarity withagile development methodologies andpractices.

The Role As a fast-growing firm playing in the technology &analytics space we see pre-sales as a strategic function within thegrowth team with the mandate of ensuring sustainable technicalwins. Working directly with the Co-Founder, VP of Sales and Head ofConsulting, you will be responsible for: Creating compellingproposals along with organizing, planning, and creating proof ofconcept demonstrations Participating in customer discoverysessions, leveraging the information at hand to build compellingbusiness cases that are aligned to customer needs Proactive accountmining and proposal response and defence for large opportunitiesSupporting the pipeline & revenue expansion targets AligningSaras solutions & capabilities with industry best practices andclient requirements What will make you successful? You areproficient in MS PowerPoint and MS Excel and are able to utilizethem to create visually engaging presentations and proposals Youare able to synthesize large volumes of technical and domaininformation in easy to digest capsules You have a service mindsetwith a knack to build and maintain relationships with customers,delivery teams, sales, and leadership at Saras You areprocess-oriented and have excelled project & time managementskills What will set you apart?
