Senior DevOps Engineer – Contract-To-Hire Position - Bengaluru, India - CareerXperts Consulting

Drive a vision of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) within the product. Build the DevOps orchestration from the ground up from the high-level backlog and help the execution with DevOps team members.

You will:

• Develop best practices for team and also responsible for the architecture and technical leadership of the entire DevOps infrastructure.
• Develop, deploy, monitor, optimize and maintain build and release pipelines
• Create packages, builds, releases, and patches as well as the software deliverables for the Devs, customers
• Perform Security hardening of cloud infrastructure and application
• Evaluate & Identify improvements to evolve existing CI/CD pipeline to enhance speed of delivery
• Focus on automatic recovery and failover automated non-disruptive infrastructure upgrades
• Ensure the ability for automated deployment, monitoring, alerting, auto scaling and remote execution-based remediation scripts.
• Understand requirements and guide the team in building reusable code

Qualifications/ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information System or related technical field
• 6+ years experience in application infrastructure and operations role or similar, with significant experience in AWS, automation and DevOps
• Required Skills:
• Strong experience with DevOps technologies, cloud-based provisioning, monitoring, and troubleshooting in AWS and Linux OS flavor
• Expert level experience in Containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker & Kubernetes with exposure to using Helm charts.
• Experience using IaC frameworks such as Terraform/Ansible/Pulumi
• Deep understanding of AWS or other cloud providers (e.g. GCP, Azure)
• Understanding of key security technologies and protocols such as TLS, OAuth.
• Expert-level experience in working with Azure DevOps
• Experience in and demonstrated understanding of source control management concepts such as branching, merging, and integration primarily in git or can take parallels from bitbucket, GitHub
• Development experience in analytics and monitoring, observability solutions like primarily DataDog or can take parallels from ELK Stack, Prometheus & Grafana for Monitoring, Metrics, Logging, Alerts & Tracing
• Experience with RDBMS like MySQL, Postgres
• Knowledge in scripting in Python, Shell, Bash or Groovy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Good to have - Experience with deployment and support of queuing infrastructure. (e.g. Kafka, AMQP, MQ)
