Description

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 10+ Years as Oracle Database Administrator
• Good hands-on Oracle Core DBA and Oracle Application
• Must Have : At least one or two DB migration to have done
• Experience on Oracle EBS R12.1, R12.2 implementations with 19c RAC,
• Upgradation of both EBS Application and RAC databases, Dataguard setup
• Maintenance and Performance tuning on EBS, DB side.

Certifications:

• Good to have OCP – Oracle Certification
• Proficiency in designing, installing, upgrading, patching, tuning, monitoring and troubleshooting databases with large amounts of data (Terabytes).
• Capacity planning, sql analysis, schema revisions, security administration and user account maintenance are also required tasks.
• Immediate participation in an active on call rotation required.
• Candidate must be capable of providing off hours support to avoid impacting database availability during normal business hours.
• Hands-on technical experience in addition to strong conceptual knowledge about Oracle Applications database administrator with 19c RAC experience in R12.2 Implementations and Oracle database with good knowledge on CDB and PDB databases, its underlying architecture and fundamentals are required
• Understands and applies database concepts such as database definitions, parameters, database component placement, reorganization, access methods and security definitions.
• Analyse performance issues in the application, concurrent manager and database tiers of E-Business Suite installations Manage resources to aid development teams with tuning database queries, reviewing and testing patches, configuration and code migrations. Develop purging, archiving, and cloning strategies.
• Experience on OAM/OID Integrate with EBS R12.2 and troubleshooting expertise for all tiers (Apache, Forms, Concurrent, Admin, J-initiator and database
• Install and configure WebLogic , Install and configure APEX.
• Worked on Parallel Concurrent Processing (PCP) as well as debugging concurrent managers and requests.
• Strong experience on Workflow configuration Apps R12.1 and Apps R12.2.
• In depth knowledge in AD utilities like adpatch, adadmin, adctrl, adrelink, admrgpch and good exposure on Oracle Service Bus and SOA, OBIEE set up and install, GTM install and set up , SMTP – Email set-up in EBS, SSO – Secure Socket Layer / HTTPs .
• Expertise in Oracle EBS Sysadmin setup task for Oracle application like responsibility, forms, function, menu, user setup, buyer, employee
• Good understanding of EBS R12.2 application architecture (including adop concepts, dual file system architecture, FMW concepts, PCP, concurrent managers, workflow, layout of application on infrastructure)

Responsibilities:

• Provides specific direction on infrastructure design to support applications.
• Reports problem performance areas and recommendations for improvement.
• Meets commitments and always provides excellent customer service with internal and external clients.
• Enforces database standards and follows up on inconsistencies.
• Performs routine reviews of databases and systems to ensure acceptable levels of performance.
• Good to have knowledge on Pure Storage.
• Strong knowledge on recovery of databases and takes up disaster recovery testing and documentation.
• Good exposure in Data guard implementation and maintenance
• Works with capacity planning, operations, application developers and other teams on database performance and access issues.
• Follows up on recommendations and actively pushes for implementation as appropriate.
• As primary administrator provides on call support as needed for on-call issues with database environments and provides follow up and permanent resolution for reoccurring issues.
• Ensures issues resulting in customer outage is escalated appropriately.
• Assists application groups with design development that meet current and future business requirements:
• Creates physical database objectives following established standards and processes employed by database team.
• Follows and meets project timelines and deadlines.
• Implements backup/recovery procedures to protect integrity of data in database environment.
• Actively manages backups along with other database administrators to ensure processes are successful and we can recover as a result.
• Provides 24/7 support of production database environments.
• Provides maintenance of physical database:
• Provides status reports (written and/or verbal) that are detailed to tasks and difficulties encountered – enables managers to initiate escalation if necessary and assess areas where changes or additional support may be warranted.
• Good to have knowledge on MySQL
