• Sheet MetalFurniture Design: Conceptualize design and develop furniture piecesthat prominently
• feature sheet metalcomponents.
• Collaborate with the design team togenerate innovative concepts
• that blend sheetmetal with other materials such as wood glass orupholstery.
• Technical Drawings and 3D Modeling:Utilize AutoCAD and SolidWorks to produceaccurate
• technical drawings 3D models andrenderings of furniture designs incorporating sheet metal.Ensure
• designs adhere to manufacturingrequirements industry standards and ergonomic principles.
• Material Selection and Specification: Researchevaluate and select appropriate sheetmetal
• materials based on factors such asstrength durability and aesthetic appeal. Specifymaterial
• thickness finishes and joining methodsto achieve desired design outcomes.
• PrototypeDevelopment and Testing: Collaborate with the prototyping team tofabricate
• prototypes of sheet metal furnituredesigns. Conduct thorough testing and evaluation toassess
• structural integrity stability and usercomfort. Iterate on designs based on feedback tooptimize
• performance andaesthetics.
• Manufacturing Liaison: Work closelywith the manufacturing team to ensure seamless translationof
• design concepts into productionreadyfurniture pieces. Provide detailed documentationincluding
• fabrication drawings and assemblyinstructions to facilitate efficient manufacturingprocesses.
• Cost Optimization: Identifyopportunities to optimize material usage fabrication techniquesand
• assembly methods to reduce manufacturingcosts without compromising quality or design integrity. Collaboratewith the procurement team to source sheet metal materials atcompetitive prices.
• Quality Assurance andCompliance: Conduct rigorous quality checks throughout the designand
• manufacturing process to ensure compliancewith quality standards safety regulations andcustomer
• expectations. Address any issues ordiscrepancies promptly to maintain product qualityand
• consistency.

Preferredcandidate profile

• Bachelors degreein Industrial Design Furniture Design Mechanical Engineering or arelated field.
• Proven experience in furnituredesign with a focus on sheet metal components. Proficiency inAutoCAD SolidWorks and other CADsoftware.
• Strong understanding of sheet metalfabrication techniques including bending welding andfinishing
• processes.
• Excellentproblemsolving skills and attention todetail.
• Effective communication andcollaboration skills with the ability to work crossfunctionallywith
• design engineering and manufacturingteams.
• Knowledge of industry standardsregulations and best practices related to sheet metal furnituredesign
