    Job Title: JAVA API Developer

    Location: Hyderabad

    Type of Employment:Full Time

    Experience: 7 Years

    Notice Period:Immediate or Less than 30 Days

    JobDescription:

    We are seeking aseasoned IT professional with a minimum of 7 years of experience tojoin our dynamic team. As an API Developer you will play a crucialrole in developing and maintaining APIs to support both web andmobile applications. Collaboration with frontend and backenddevelopers is integral to define API requirements ensuring seamlessintegration and functionality. Your responsibilities will includeensuring robust API security and authentication mechanismsmonitoring API performance and promptly troubleshooting any issuesthat arise.

    KeyResponsibilities:

    1. APIDevelopment: Develop and maintain APIs to support web and mobileapplications ensuring reliability scalability andefficiency.

    2. Collaboration: Collaborate closelywith frontend and backend developers to define API requirements andensure smooth integration with existingsystems.

    3. Security: Ensure that API securitymeasures and authentication mechanisms are robust and uptodate tosafeguard sensitive data.

    4. PerformanceMonitoring: Monitor API performance metrics and promptly addressany performance issues or bottlenecks to maintain optimalfunctionality.

    5. API Gateway Management: ManageAPI gateway using Spring Cloud API Gateway deployed as a serviceensuring efficient routing and trafficmanagement.

    6. Language Proficiency: Proficientin Java with familiarity in Scala/Node for handling underlyingexisting services.

    7. Database Management:Experience with PostgreSql and some MongoDB including data modelingand optimization.

    8. Technical Skills:Proficiency in Excel macros Kotlin .NET/C# along withJava/Scala/Node. Familiarity with Elastic Python and customtooling/integration with COTS (Salesforce Twilio )etc.

    9. Monitoring and Logging: Experience withmonitoring tooling such as NewRelic ELK stack (ElasticsearchLogstash Kibana) Prometheus and Logs Loggly.

    10.CI/CD Implementation: Proficiency in CI/CD stack including MaestroGitHub actions and GitHub packages to automate build test anddeployment processes.

    11. Quality Assurance:Utilize JUnit and automated API testing to ensure the reliabilityand functionality of APIs.

    12. API Design:Emphasize designfirst API development principles utilizing toolslike Swagger code generation mock data generation and automatedtest generation.

    13. Documentation: Generatecomprehensive documentation for developer portals includingautomated documentation for developer portalgeneration.

    14. Production Support: Provideproduction support including issue resolution and troubleshootingto ensure uninterrupted servicedelivery.
