    Position: Procurement Manager – Buyer

    Location : Bangalore

    Job Role :

    At Xiaomi, as a Procurement Manager you will need to forecast levels of demand for goods and services on PAN-India markets. Conduct research to source the best products and Vendors in terms of best value, delivery schedules and quality, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. Run tenders, evaluate bids and make recommendations, based on commercial and technical factors.

    Job Duties:

    1. Strategic Sourcing: Develop and implement a comprehensive sourcing strategy for indirect goods and services, including but not limited to Brand Marketing procurement categories. Identify potential vendors, conduct market research, analyse vendors capabilities, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relationships.
    2. Vendor Management: Establish and maintain productive relationships with vendors, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met, and resolving any issues or disputes that may arise. Monitor vendor performance and conduct regular performance reviews to drive continuous improvement and cost savings.
    3. Cost Optimization: Identify cost-saving opportunities within the indirect procurement process, such as consolidating vendors, implementing vendor performance metrics, and leveraging economies of scale. Develop and execute initiatives to achieve cost reduction targets while maintaining quality standards.
    4. Category Management: Partners with procurement team (and category manager) to construct comprehensive category strategies to archive states goals. Partners with the internal stakeholders to ensure alignment between product strategy and sourcing strategy.
    5. Stakeholder Management: Partners with stakeholders to create and launch tactical implementation plans. Build and maintain excellent relationships with internal client and colleagues at all levels. Manage multiple initiatives and/or projects/programs. Serve as a member as cross-functional teams, lead meetings as appropriate and influence line function.

    Desired Candidate profile :

    • In-depth knowledge of procurement principles, strategic sourcing methodologies, and contract negotiation strategies.
    • Experience in Marcom procurement, digital marketing procurement, media, PR, celebrity/influencers management is mandatory.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, analyze, and interpret complex data.
    • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills to build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
    • Ability to build high-performing teams and develop/grow people managers.
    • Strong command of Hindi and English languages (Upper-Intermediate or above).

    Qualification : Bachelor's/Master's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., CIPS, CPIM) are a plus.

    Experience: Proven experience (7+ years) as an indirect procurement manager for Brand Marketing procurement categories of goods and services, preferably in consumer electronics, fashion, or FMCG industries. Especially familiar with PAN-India markets.
