Weare looking for a founding data scientist to come on board and helpdefine the future of outcomesbased learning at Kalvium. We rebuilding the operating system for Education for every singlestudent enrolled in highereducation.
Youwill use your analytical stats and programming skills to help chartthe path of how we ll measure progress of every student in Kalviums programs and provide a quick feedback loop to them. Your progresswill be measured by how fast student s learning improves and enablethem to tap into better workopportunities.
Responsibilities

1. Workclosely with the degree program team the product and engineeringteams to define and develop methodologies to measure learning andcompute a learning path for every student in oursystem
2. Implement systems and processes toperform analysis
3. Perform data analysis andinvestigations to evolve our teaching methods. You will answerquestions like:
4. Will this change improve thelearning of a course module How can we test it.
5. What method of assessment provides thequickest demonstration of course knowledge
6. Does a method of learning favour shortterm understanding longtermor both How can we tune it
7. What s the mostefficient method of delivering a course at scale.
8. Suggest experiments to evolve our learningand content systems to tune for studentoutcomes.
9. Ideate discover and integrate newmethods of understanding studentgrowth.
10. Consistently report on the aggregateprogress of students against the course/programpath.
11. Build prototypes to explore and demoideas.
12. Be a strong voice for a datainformedpoint of view within our engineering product and designorganisation.

Skillandrequirements:

1. Youare a critical thinker with very strong attention to detail. Youfeed on curiosity and learning new skills.
2. Youcome with a startup mindset doing whatever is needed to solve aproblem.
3. 6 years of experience in a similarrole. Experience in learning/assessment systems is abonus.
4. Handson/strong SQL skills andcomfortable in at least one scripting or statistical programminglanguage. You will own building and maintenance of the overalllearning dashboards for the program.
5. Passionand interest in building a system of learning from scratch. This isgoing to be your focus for years tocome.
6. Excellent communication: deliver findingsand recommendations to nontechnical stakeholders in a clear andcompelling fashion
7. MS or PhD in a quantitativefield at least 12 years experience in a business environment or BSor Data Science Bootcamp graduate equivalent experience in abusiness settingconsidered.
