    Job Description :
    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Oracle Database and System Administrator to join our team.

    The ideal candidate will provide specialized technical expertise in handling challenges related to both system and database administration.

    The role involves day-to-day tasks such as monitoring system and database activities, analyzing resource utilization, capacity control, performance tuning, coordinating system and database updates/upgrades, fixing issues, and installing/configuring virtual machines.


    Responsibilities :

    Monitoring and Analysis :

    • Monitor system and database activities for optimal performance.
    • Analyze resource utilization and implement measures for efficiency.

    Capacity Control:

    • Manage and control system and database capacity to meet organizational needs.

    Performance Tuning:

    • Implement performance tuning strategies for enhanced system and database Coordinate and implement updates, upgrades, fixes for both system and database.

    Virtual Machines:

    • Installation and configuration of virtual machines to support organizational requirements.

    Support for Applications and Middleware:

    • Provide support for applications and middleware connected to the system and database.

    User Management:

    • Handle addition, deletion, and modification of users in the system and database.

    Reports Generation:

    • Generate and analyze reports related to system and database activities.

    Backup and Replication:

    • Ensure regular database backups and set up replication mechanisms for data redundancy.

    Email/Messaging System Administration:

    • Administer the organization's email/messaging system.
    • Possess good knowledge of SMTP, DNS, IMAP/POP, LDAP/Directory services, etc.

    Qualifications :
    Bachelor's degree in Engineering (B.E./B.Tech) or MCA from a reputed university.


    Certifications :

    • Preferably hold Linux/Unix certification along with industrystandard database certifications.

    Skills and Experience :

    • Extensive knowledge of system and database administration.
    • Proven experience in Oracle Database Administration.
    • Strong expertise in Linux/Unix environments.
    • Familiarity with industrystandard database technologies.
    • Excellent problemsolving and troubleshooting skills.
    • Strong communication and coordination abilities.
