- To provide both technical and functional expertise of the D365 F&O and HR modules with focus on enhancing the performance, efficiency and capability of the Control Risks business.
- This is a hands-on role and the holder will equally provide configuration and development to Dynamics 365 F&O and HR modules as well as assisting in the implementation and support of Dynamics 365 solutions.
- This role requires strong communication to non-technical audience and the holder needs to be able to work at a strategic level as well as have hands on tactical and operational skills to define work and trouble shoot / resolve issues in an effective way
- To lead the India DTS team (matrix structure) which has a mix of persons from Applications, Infrastructure, Service Delivery and other areas.
- Undertake the duties of D365 F&O and HR Technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the operation, management, maintenance and development of the D365 F&O and HR platforms
- Act as local lead for the India DTS team in a matrix structure and provide guidance and oversight in their liaison with the rest of the India business Act as a single point of contact for cross-functional and general DTS activities and represent the India DTS team in Management meetings
- Act as point of escalation for local DTS staff matters, and proactively escalate to DTS Senior Leadership when matters necessitate
- Work closely with the D365 Solution Architect to support the delivery of D365 initiatives, always considering the interaction/dependencies of common data model between modules
- Work with the Business Teams to understand opportunities / requirements for developing the D365 applications platforms
- Develop user stories in DevOps (or ITSM), define and maintain accurate product backlog, and manage overall demand through MS Project for The Web
- Inspire the business through demonstrations of the possibilities of D365 F&O and HR modules and their wider capabilities / integration to meet Control Risks needs and strategic ambitions
- Maximise the use of D365 F&O and HR partnerships and take a configuration first approach within the system vs overly customised. Striving for a vanilla solution wherever possible
- Support the teams with regression testing of solution, UAT, and training Debugging bugs
- Develop functional designs, test plans and scripts where applicable
- Drive innovation such a building, customising and configuring the system as well as utilising for example Power Platform into your POC solutions
- Provide Go-live and post-live support
- Resolve tickets and issues raised by Business Teams in accordance with internal service levels, processes, and procedures
- Prepare and represent D365 F&O & HR changes at CAB
- Advise customers on best practices for D365 F&O & HR processes, user interface and architecture
- Advise on complex D365 F&O, and HR cases and proposing comprehensive solutions
- Work with Strategic Transformation teams on ad hoc projects as a SME utilisation resource from the Applications team to complete project tasks on time and within budget
- Develop solutions that improve the efficiency and capability of F&O system users.
- Implement product best practices based on Microsoft Dynamics standards and supported configurations
- Operate as the subject matter expert in cross-functional projects to represent the requirements and expectations of the tech and business teams.
- Help and provide guidance with training SME's in areas specific to their BAU activities
- Work closely with the D365 Technical Delivery Manager on areas that require further engagement with the business and partner where required
- Work with the business SME's, help with knowledge, answer questions, drive a knowledge base
- Support on surrounding application projects to help transition to Support
- Help contain and manage DevOps items and ensure awareness of risks and work items being delivered is given to the managers
- Assist in the platform releases (upgrades) with regression testing and work with the business to arrange functional tests
- Data migration: Assist with the facilitation of data sets for ETL activities, working with the business teams
- 5+ years' demonstrable experience of leading a team
- 5+ years of demonstrable experience configuring and implementing Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations
- Using or supporting or implementing Dynamics CE an advantage
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred and 5 + years relevant work experience and relevant college coursework in computer science, information technology or a related area; or bachelor's degree in computer science or information systems and 5+ years relevant work experience and relevant college coursework in business, accounting, finance, or a related area
- Good knowledge of D365 F&O & HR
- Proven experience in business analysis with organisations of various size and complexity
- Business process mapping and optimisation
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Experience leading ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimisation strategies
- Good interpersonal skills, possessing the confidence to build relationships with all levels of stakeholder
