IT Data ArchitectRole Summary:

As an IT Data Architect, you will be a leader within our Data team focused on transforming our data practice into a Data as a Service/Self Service Analytics model.

This will require the ability to partner with data analysts and data scientists to deeply understand their needs, while being able to technically communicate and develop a solution architecture that satisfies their requirements.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Data Solution Architecture (75%):a. Canonize and implement baseline architectures that satisfy known data requirements in our enterpriseb. Establish new baseline architectures and identify new technologies for new data requirements from our enterprise that outpace currenttechnologycapabilitiesc. Partner with analysts and data scientists to understand their data requirements, to facilitate the development of a solution path that will fit their needsd. Perform quality assurance checks on Data Engineers deliverables to maintain a good quality of product and minimize risk when promoting toproduction Environments2. Data Engineering & Development (20%)a. Execute and develop along defined solution pathsb. Utilize data engineering as a means to stay current with contemporary techniques as well as a way to mentor and train Data Engineers3. Data Platform Support & Operationsa. Develop and lead our Support Operations organization to make them as self-sufficient as possible in ensuring our Data Platform is up, running and performantb. Be a point of escalation and expertise in instances where an outage in our Data Platform exceeds the capability of the Support Operationsorganization4. Leadershipa. Lead teams of data engineers to develop and deploy data solutionsb. Find opportunities to mentor and train data engineers and peer architectsc. Maintain curiosity in the fast-paced market of data technologies to stay current and identify opportunities to improve and contemporize our Data platformQualifications:Required:Bachelor's (BS or BA) or higher degree in a technical field of Information Systems and TechnologyTotal 7+yrs of Exp3+ Years in a Data Engineering role1+ Year operating as a Junior Data ArchitectExperience in a cloud infrastructure environnement (AWS preferred)
