    Job Summary:

    Reporting to the Manager - Property Tax, Altus Group is currently seeking a candidate in the position of Team Lead for our new Global Service Centre in Hyderabad. The Team Lead will oversee a dynamic team demonstrating experience in (but not limited to) OneSource Property Tax more specific to personal property return filing.

    As a Team Lead, you will be responsible for the collection, analysis and organization of Personal property data, which is to be used for compliance filing services. In addition to the OneSource personal property experience, the team lead and their team will have visibility to and participate in our Altus Group services offerings that may include Tax, Cost, and other commercial real estate Intelligence as a Service.

    The role will assure that other individuals within the team gain exposure to asset underwriting, financial analysis, cash flow modelling, Argus Enterprise, as well as data analytics.

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of personal property tax returns in OneSource platform.
  • Exposure of processing the assessments and tax bills in OneSource property tax platform.
  • Ensuring all needed deliveries of the team are of high quality and on time.
  • Leading the team by example of focused effort, collaboration, and a winning culture.
  • Performing to KPI's and ensuring all team members are utilized effectively.
  • Working with other team members and stakeholders to continually improve process and expand deliverables from GSC Team.
  • Work with Other teams in the company to build efficient interfaces and strong collaboration.
  • Manage multiple projects at a time in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
  • Manage periodic setup of work files including verifying and reviewing source data.
  • Prepare accurate analysis of asset to be used in the compliance return preparation and other Appeal process.
  • Develop cash flow projections or portions of cash flow projections to be used in the appraisal and managed services process, using industry standard software such as Argus Enterprise or other appropriate software.
  • Complete periodic comparisons of analysis files to analyze impacts and attribute variances.
  • Conduct research and data collection from both internal database and third-party sources with respect to market rental rates, comparable building transactions, realty tax estimates, and general market knowledge.
  • Contribute to the maintenance and accuracy of internal data management systems.
  • Continuously upgrading the level of knowledge regarding real estate analysis
  • Accurately completing time sheets on a daily basis ensuring non-billable time and recoverable expenses are clearly outlined.

    • Key Qualifications:

  • Prior Team Lead and/or people management experience.
  • Work experience preferably in Commerce, OneSource Compliance Personal Property Tax Return, Economics, or Finance.
  • Exposure of compliance filing background, specifically OneSource experience is an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills – written, verbal, and oral presentation.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Outlook, Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Etc.)
  • Basic skills in creating financial models (i.e., Excel, Argus, etc.)
  • Ability to understand and interpret a lease for modeling. Understanding of source data that consists of budgeting, actuals, rent roll, recoveries, etc.
  • Excellent research, quantitative and analytical skills
  • Ability to deliver expectations of the team and manage to be desired outcomes.
