    Job Description:

    Title: On-Campus Student Orientation Leader

    Unit: Student Employment

    Reports to: Coordinator of Student Engagement and Multicultural Programming

    Date: March 28, 2024

    General Summary: On-Campus Student Orientation Leaders play a vital role in welcoming new students to MCC, helping them navigate resources, and support services during orientation events.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with the Office of Student Engagement and IDS 101 FYE classes.
    • Assist with activities, campus navigation, and engage new students to build a sense of community.
    • Opportunity to develop leadership, public speaking skills and contribute to MCC.
    • Availability for training and orientation events in both in-person and virtual settings.

    Requirements:

    • Maintain good academic and student conduct standing.
    • Minimum GPA of 2.0 and ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups.
    • Organizational, communication, and basic computing skills required.
    • Participation in in-person and virtual orientation plans throughout the summer.

    Additional Information:

    Location: Lowell and Bedford campus.

    Hours: Up to 18.5 hours per week.

    Expected Start Date: July 1, 2024
