Job Description:

A BMC Remedy Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining solutions within the BMC Remedy platform to ensure efficient and reliable IT Service Management operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Development and Customization:
• Design and develop custom applications, workflows, and forms within the BMC Remedy ITSM suite.
• Customize Remedy modules, including Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management, and Service Request Management, based on business needs.
• Integration:
• Develop and implement integrations between BMC Remedy and third-party systems using REST APIs, SOAP, or other integration methods.
• Ensure seamless data exchange and synchronization across IT systems.
• System Configuration:
• Configure and optimize BMC Remedy to improve usability and performance.
• Manage AR System components, including data dictionaries, forms, active links, filters, and escalations.
• Testing and Quality Assurance:
• Develop test plans, scripts, and cases to validate customizations and integrations.
• Conduct unit, system, and performance testing to ensure quality.
• Troubleshooting and Support:
• Diagnose and resolve issues in the Remedy environment, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Provide technical support and maintenance for Remedy applications and integrations.
• Documentation:
• Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for customizations, configurations, and integrations.
• Document development processes, workflows, and troubleshooting steps.
• Collaboration:
• Work closely with IT teams, business analysts, and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
• Collaborate with other developers and architects to align customizations with organizational IT standards.
• Upgrades and Enhancements:
• Plan and execute upgrades to the BMC Remedy platform, ensuring compatibility with existing systems.
• Stay updated on new features and functionalities in the Remedy suite and propose enhancements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Technical Expertise:
• Strong knowledge of BMC Remedy ITSM modules and AR System.
• Experience in BMC Remedy Development, including custom workflows, forms, and scripts.
• Proficiency in integration technologies such as REST, SOAP, and web services.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, or Perl.
• Experience with database management systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server) and writing SQL queries.
• IT Knowledge:
• Understanding of ITIL processes and frameworks.
• Familiarity with incident, problem, and change management workflows.
• BMC with helix and latest version of BMC remedy.
