The Role

JoVE is seeking a Science Outreach Specialist to join the Global Marketing team. This position is great for a science enthusiast who loves networking and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

The successful candidate will identify and build long-standing relationships with JoVE champions and become a JoVE evangelist among scientists and educators.

Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Science Outreach Specialist will initiate collaborations and identify opportunities to expand JoVE's reach.

Responsibilities

Become a JoVE evangelist among scientists and educators, supporting the marketing team by raising awareness of our products and servicesIdentify and develop JoVE champions at academic and research institutionsPlan, organize, and conduct webinars in collaboration with researchers and educators to help raise awareness of JoVE resources in the communityMeasure and assess webinar effectiveness, and drive continuous improvementPrepare reports to share with stakeholdersReview webinar announcement email marketing campaigns aimed at researchers and educators for scientific accuracy, style, and toneProvide support on social media campaigns and advertising

Requirements

A Ph.
D. in biology, chemistry, or related science discipline5+ years of work experience in marketing or customer success in Publishing, EdTech, or Science industriesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsHighly organized and detail-orientedSelf-starter, result-oriented and able to operate in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
