    Position Title: Manager Accounting (Strategy & Execution)

    Job Location: Bangalore

    Job Descriptions

    The Manager Accounting will have opportunity to support our Accountable Reporting transition to an Operations Center of Excellence. This role will partner with Strategy & Execution Business Manager and be responsible for increasing employee adoption and usage of standardized reporting, partnering with change management where applicable and ensuring reporting governance aligns with overall goals. In addition to ensuring a successful reporting standardization and transition, the role offers opportunity to identify and lead onboarding future processes. This position will work closely with business units across the enterprise for XP&A, Data team and the Global Finance Strategy team to ensure alignment.

    Main job responsibilities include:

  • Standardized Reporting Design & Development
  • Coordinate & Lead Reporting Workshops
  • Continuous Improvement Liaison, Align accountable reporting capabilities with continuous improvement activities
  • Support creation of Operations Center of Excellence whose focus is to provide timely, centralized support to business
  • Accountable & Forecasting Workstream Prioritized Project Support
  • Lead current state to future state process mapping for onboarding new processes
  • Define metrics and KPIs to measure COE success
  • Communication with leadership & internal partners on project updates
  • Ad hoc support as needed
  • Basic Requirements:

  • Strong communication and presentation skills among various organizations
  • Ability to work with multiple teams and stakeholder groups (process, technology, HR/organization, etc.) to drive outcomes
  • Experience in working in a matrix organization structure with global stakeholders from different time zones.
  • Prior FP&A experience and managing overall P&Ls, Balance sheets
  • This role requires specific knowledge of Caterpillar's accountable reporting process including methodology, transactions and closing processes.
  • This position requires a high level of strategic analysis, problem solving, financial and accounting business acumen and governance background
  • The incumbent must have experience working in a global environment and have a global mentality
  • Knowledge of Excel, PowerBI, SQL
  • Working under uncertain circumstances and global/diverse environment
  • Top Candidate Will Also Have:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or Other Relevant Field of Study
  • Professional Certification - Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or equivalent is preferred
  • 5-10 years of accounting experience
  • Additional Details:

  • Location: Bangalore, India
  • Domestic relocation is available for those who qualify
  • 5-10% travel is expected
  • Timing: EUR timing with need to provide US coverage as per business close requirements
