    Description

    Brief Description about the Project:

    Development and evaluation of effectiveness of improved take home foods in combination with behaviour change intervention to improve nutritional status in children in selected districts of six states of India: A Cluster Randomized Controlled Trial (The NECCTAR trial).

    We are seeking a Project Technical Support -III to join our research team, to work both at St. John's Research Institute, Bangalore and at our research field site (Shivamogga).

    Position Starting: 15th September, 2025

    No. of Vacancy: one

    Preferred Qualifications: M.Sc in Food Science and Nutrition/relevant field

    Experience: Minimum experience of 6 months

    Experience in

    • Good technical, analytic, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with strong written, interpersonal, and oral communication skills.
    • Ability to work both independently and in a research team.
    • Attention to detail, time management, systematic work approach.

    Preferred Language: English, Kannada, Hindi

    Location: Bangalore and Shivamogga District (research field site)

    Salary: Rs % (Rs.36400)

    Roles & Responsibilities:

    The candidate will be responsible for overall activities of the research project at SJRI as well as at the field site in Shivamogga.

    Key duties include:

    • Conduct and support all data collection activities, fieldwork, participant interviews, surveys, and nutritional assessments.
    • Ensure accurate and timely data entry into the project database and assist in maintaining data integrity and confidentiality.
    • Assist with monitoring the quality of data and identifying discrepancies or inconsistencies.
    • Provide technical assistance in setting up and calibrating research instruments and tools
    • Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all project activities.
    • Participate in regular field visits to monitor ongoing research activities and ensure adherence to research protocols.
    • Contribute to the preparation of technical reports, presentations, and manuscripts for internal and external stakeholders.
