Position - Electrical Design Engineer

Location - Chennai

Years of experience - 4-10 Years

Job Details :-

• Responsible for the design of main electrical equipment, General power and equipment distribution with detailed material sizing calculations.
• Responsible for the Substation, MV and LV power systems, cable tray/earthing/lighting systems.
• Review basis of design, design guidelines, specifications, Data Sheets, equipment layout, Hazardous area classifications Typical installation standards and other relevant documents.
• Perform specific system design calculations using ETAP and review, equipment sizing, UPS and battery sizing calculations, preparation of BOM, Lighting Calculations with lux level report, Cable Tray and Trench Sizing Calculations.
• Requisition for Enquiry and Assistance to Purchase team technically on purchase of Electrical Equipments (TRANSFORMERS, SWITCHGEARS, GENERATORS, BUS DUCTS, UPS, CAPACITORS) and its accessories.
• Technical Bid Evaluation of Offers for Electrical Equipments.
• Assist the Team leader/Senior Engineer in presenting design solutions in meeting with clients and consultant for obtaining their approvals.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a cross-functional team environment.
