We are seeking a skilled Legal Counsel to support the operations of our client, an independent resourcing consultancy, across Asia and the Middle East. This role offers the chance to work in a fast-paced environment, providing specialized legal expertise in commercial contracts and regulatory matters pertinent to the wealth management sector.

Job Description:

The Legal Counsel will play a critical role in advising on legal, regulatory, and compliance matters, ensuring the organization's operations align with local laws and corporate policies. This position involves collaboration with multiple teams to support the international operations of our client.

Responsibilities:

• Provide expert legal advice across a broad spectrum of areas within the wealth management business.
• Draft, monitor, and review legal contracts and train stakeholders on their implementation.
• Engage in negotiations and assist in structuring and executing complex corporate transactions.
• Support the introduction of new financial products, establishing legal frameworks to manage risk.
• Develop and oversee the implementation of legal policies, processes, and procedures.
• Collaborate on various projects and handle special assignments as directed by the Head of Legal for Asia & Middle East.
• Deliver clear, accurate, and business-focused legal support to senior management, aligning with business objectives while managing legal risks.
• Proactively manage legal risks, anticipating issues and implementing corrective actions to protect the organization's interests across the regions.

Key Requirements:

• Qualified Solicitor/Lawyer with a common law background.
• 1-3 years of post-qualification experience, preferably in an in-house legal role within the financial sector.
• Excellent command of the English language, both verbal and written.
• Strong legal research and drafting skills.
• Proactive, self-starter with a positive attitude and the ability to work effectively in a multicultural and diverse environment.
