- Guide team development efforts towards successful project delivery.
- Hands-on in game development using Unity, Photoshop, Spine and Unity scripts and tools.
- Provide technical guidance to other technical artists on the team.
- Maintain high standards of game quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits.
- Identify and encourage areas for growth and improvement within the team.
- Collaborate with other technical artists, software developers and business stakeholders to plan, develop, and ship mobile and web-based digital games.
- Assist in the collection and documentation of user's requirements, development of user stories, estimates and work plans.
- Prepare reports, training plans, manuals and other documentation on the status, operation and maintenance of Digital Game Development.
- Assist in the packaging and support deployment of releases.
- Work with teammates in the migration of legacy tech stacks to current technologies.
- Analyze and resolve technical and application problems.
- Assess opportunities for teaching art pipeline and process improvement and prepare documentation of rationale to share with team members and other affected parties.
- Adhere to high-quality development principles while delivering solutions on time and on-budget.
- Bachelor's degree/BFA/MFA or equivalent work 5-8 years' work experience in digital gaming as technical artist
- 2 years+ in professional technical art role, utilizing Unity animation engine and Scripting Shaders
- Familiar with Spine animation system
- Contribution to the development and success of several commercially released products in a technical capacity within an aligned industry i.e., console game, online, mobile etc.
- Bachelor's Degree in Art or related field preferred.

- Articulate and communicate complex technical art & animation issues.
- Strong ability to understand and improve proprietary art software.
- Actively seek feedback and review of work; accept and act upon creative/technical direction.
- Have experience with - Adobe CC Suite with an emphasis on Unity, Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects, Maya / Max for 3D modelling, rigging and animating, Source control software (Perforce, Alien-brain, Jira, and confluence, GitHub, SVN, etc.), proprietary tools or software, experience with Scrum, Waterfall or Agile methodologies a plus. (This is a bonus, and not a hard requirement)
