    Job Description:

    We are looking for a skilled Firmware Engineer specializing in API test development and validation to join our team in Bengaluru.

    The chosen candidate will have a key role in developing, designing, testing, and validating firmware for both new and existing products. This role presents an exciting chance to work on cutting-edge technologies and contribute to the success of our innovative products.

    Responsibilities:
    • Firmware Development:
      • Design, maintain, and create firmware for embedded systems, emphasizing reliability, efficiency, and performance.
      • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to outline firmware requirements and specifications.
      • Implement firmware features and functionalities based on product requirements and design guidelines.
      • Troubleshoot and resolve firmware issues, enhancing performance and addressing any compatibility concerns.
    • API Design and Testing:
      • Architect and develop APIs for facilitating communication between firmware and external systems or applications.
      • Establish API endpoints and data structures, following industry standards and best practices.
      • Generate automated tests for API validation, covering unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests.
      • Execute API testing to confirm functionality, performance, and security.
    • Validation of Products:
      • Create and implement test plans and test cases to verify firmware functionality and performance.
      • Thoroughly test firmware features, detecting and documenting defects or issues.
      • Cooperate with hardware engineers to ensure firmware compatibility and functionality with hardware components.
      • Analyze test outcomes and offer suggestions for enhancements or optimizations.
    Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
    • 3-6 years of expertise in firmware development, API design, and testing.
    • Proficiency in programming languages like C/C++ for embedded systems development.
    • Comprehensive comprehension of firmware development processes and best practices.
    • Experience with API design principles and protocols (REST, SOAP, etc.).
    • Familiarity with testing frameworks and tools for firmware and API testing.
    • Exceptional problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
    • Effective communication and collaboration abilities, thriving in a team setting.
    • Experience with IoT devices and protocols is a valuable addition.
