    • Senior Cloud Engineer– Pune, IND

    About Role-

    Seeking Senior Cloud Engineerto join our Cloud Center of Excellence team at Bekaert , the He/she will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud IaaS/PaaS, cloud networking, and security services for our company. As Bekaert mainly uses Azure Cloud with a smaller usage of Alibaba Cloud, the ideal candidate should have a deep knowledge of Azure IaaS/PaaS, cloud networking, and security services. Additionally, experience with Alibaba Cloud would be considered an advantage. The candidate will work closely with our application teams to ensure seamless integration of PaaS with existing infrastructure, to understand business requirements, formulate and execute cloud solutions.

    Responsibilities:

  • Have a deep understanding of our Azure Foundation including landing zone, blueprints, and contribute to improving our Azure architecture landscape.
  • Design, implement and deploy efficient and scalable Azure PaaS solutions, utilizing various services such as Azure SQL Database to store, manage and process data, and Azure Kubernetes Service to orchestrate and manage containerized workloads to align with and meet the specific business needs.
  • Implement security best practices to ensure network security and data protection and remain compliant with Bekaert InfoSec policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Work with application and integration teams to integrate Azure IaaS & PaaS with existing infrastructure and network, enabling optimal performance and functionality across the entire system.
  • Stay up to date with emerging cloud technologies and trends and evaluate their potential impact on the company's cloud strategy.
  • Provide guidance and support to application teams on Azure IaaS & PaaS services, and best practices for application development.
  • Manage and monitor Azure resources to ensure high availability and performance of cloud PaaS.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Azure IaaS & PaaS services.

    • About You

    Essential skills & competencies

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud architecture, design, and implementation for Azure IaaS & PaaS, cloud networking and security.
  • Expertise in designing and implementing highly available and scalable Azure IaaS, PaaS solutions (e.g. databases, AKS, data lake, etc.), networking infrastructure and services (e.g. VPN, Load Balancer, Firewall, etc.), and cloud security solutions (e.g. Identity and Access Management, encryption, logging and monitoring, vulnerability management, etc.).
  • Deep knowledge of Azure cloud computing technologies, and deployment models for IaaS, PaaS, networking, and security.
  • Experience with Azure cloud security and networking (e.g. Azure Security Center, Azure Virtual Network, Azure ExpressRoute, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps practices and tooling for Azure cloud PaaS, network, and security.
  • Knowledge of Alibaba Cloud is a plus.

  • Hands-on and able to work independently.
  • Working in an international company with different cultures and colleagues in different locations.
  • Experience with working with outsourced IT services for Cloud, therefore supporting our IT partner to execute projects and manage operations.
  • Analytical skills in identifying problems and pointing out solutions.
  • Able to deliver pragmatic approaches and keeping solutions as simple as possible.
  • Able to write processes and documentation.
  • Able to present/discuss (to technical audience) the proposed solutions.
  • Language: Understand & speak fluently English
