Role Overview:
Centum Infosystems Pvt Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Hitachi Storage Administrator to join our IT infrastructure team. The successful candidate will manage, configure, and troubleshoot Hitachi storage systems to ensure optimal performance and data security. You will work closely with other IT professionals to maintain a robust and scalable storage environment.


Key Responsibilities:

• Storage Management: Administer and manage Hitachi storage systems, including setup, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting to ensure high availability and reliability.
• Storage Provisioning: Provision storage resources to meet various business units' needs, ensuring efficient storage capacity use.
• Performance Monitoring:Monitor storage system performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks to maintain optimal system functionality.
• Backup and Recovery: Design, implement, and maintain backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and minimize data loss.
• Storage Virtualization: Implement and manage storage virtualization technologies, ensuring seamless integration with other IT systems.
• Data Security: Implement data security best practices, including encryption, access controls, and compliance with relevant regulations.
• Disaster Recovery: Develop and test disaster recovery plans for storage systems, ensuring business continuity in case of system failures or other disasters.
• Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution: Identify and resolve storage-related issues, collaborating with other IT teams as necessary.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for storage systems, including configurations, policies, and procedures.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other IT teams, such as network and server administrators, to ensure seamless integration and operation of IT infrastructure.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in storage administration, with a focus on Hitachi storage systems

Technical Expertise :

• Strong knowledge of Hitachi storage systems, including Hitachi Vantara (such as VSP, HUS, HNAS), and other related storage technologies.
• Storage Networking:Understanding of storage networking protocols (e.g., SAN, NAS, iSCSI, Fibre Channel).
• Backup and Recovery Tools: Experience with backup and recovery tools and software.
• Operating Systems: Proficiency in multiple operating systems, such as Windows and Linux.
• Scripting and Automation: Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) and automation tools for storage management.
• Problem-solving skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to diagnose and resolve storage-related issues.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certifications:·Relevant certifications in Hitachi storage systems or other storage technologies are highly desirable.·Cloud Storage: Experience with cloud storage solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid cloud environments.·Compliance and Security: Knowledge of industry regulations and standards related to data storage and security.
