- Perform financial management duties including generating financial data, compiling and submitting reports, analyzing industry trends and assessing the financial health of the company.
- Oversee the operations and development of the company's finance departments including creating and reviewing policies, budgeting, recruiting, training and conducting regular assessments of financial procedures.
- Supervise the preparation of quarterly and annual account reconciliations, monitor and enforce compliance with tax and financial reporting standards and assist with cash flow forecasting
- Create strategic business plans based on the analysis of the company's status and financial forecasts.
- Lead a team of finance professionals, including financial analysts, accountants, and reporting specialists.
- Utilize financial management software, ERP systems, and data analytics tools to streamline financial processes, improve data accuracy, and generate actionable insights.
- Collaborate with senior management to develop financial strategies aligned with business goals. Provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making processes.
- Monitor costs related to mining operations, equipment, labor, and other expenses. Develop and manage budgets to optimize resource allocation and control expenditures.
- Conduct financial analysis, variance analysis, and performance metrics tracking. Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial performance and operational efficiency.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance or related field 8+ years of relevant experience
- Must be a Chartered Accountant
- Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Detail-oriented and analytical
- Ability to architect financial strategy along with leadership skills
- Should have good communication skills, strong accounting & reporting knowledge.
- The ability to identify issues, analyze root causes, and develop solutions
- Being flexible and adaptable in different situations, especially in rapidly changing environment
