    The Senior Revenue Accountant will be responsible for ensuring the completeness and accuracy of all revenue transactions in the general ledger in accordance with U.S. GAAP and is responsible for reviewing and supervising the global billing team's activity, including reconciliation and analysis.

    The Senior Revenue Accountant will report to the Manager - Global Revenue and Accounting, based in London, with a dotted line to the Director of Finance, based in Gurugram.

    A day in the life

  • Responsible for Monthly revenue reconciliations of Global revenue topline
  • Supporting the Global revenue team, working closely with Finance and business to ensure accuracy, efficient processes and effective controls of both AR and AP sides of the business
  • Support business team with required assessments and calculations
  • Help design and automate processes for scaling revenue initiatives
  • Assist with testing of new system implementations as related to revenue and billing including sale taxes
  • Review of monthly billing and related journals, intercompany transactions to finalization of monthly close process of the revenue in the income statement
  • Ensure journal entries are properly recorded in accordance with US GAAP, and that all required financial data is captured, reconciled, and documented
  • Support the quarterly global commissions process, validating calculations are accurate and inputting data into commissions tool
  • Participate in monthly Balance Sheet, P&L and Cash Flow review meetings, providing insightful analysis of key drivers impacting revenue results
  • Review and enforce key financial policies and procedures
  • Evaluate, recommend, and enforce internal controls
  • Work on ad hoc projects, including global accounting system enhancement projects
  • Support the annual / quarterly audit requests
  • What you'll bring

  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting / CA or CPAs - preferred
  • Public Accounting background
  • Big 4 experience - preferred
  • Familiar with US GAAP, technical accounting and internal controls
  • Proficient with Excel with a strong systems background (NetSuite – an advantage)
  • Deep understanding in billing cycle and revenue recognition standards
  • Minimum 7 years experience in a similar role
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • An enthusiastic team player and strong interpersonal skills
  • Well organized with outstanding attention to details
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills in English
  • Strong organizational and management skills
  • Proactivity, independence, and the ability to take ownership on complicated projects
