    Description


    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Database Reliability Engineer (DBRE) to join our team and play a crucial role in ensuring the performance, scalability, and high availability of our customer database services on the Tessell Platform.


    Minimum Requirements :
    years of experience in database administration, with a strong focus on PostgreSQL, MySQL, and potentially MSSQL databases.

    • Proven experience managing databases at scale on Linux servers, both onpremises and in cloud virtual machines (VMs).
    • Prior experience working within a Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team, preferably as a first responder, is highly desirable.
    • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure platforms, particularly AWS.
    • Solid understanding of Linux administration and scripting experience with Shell or PowerShell.

    Responsibilities :

    • Ownership and accountability for ensuring all customer database services on the Tessell Platform meet the highest Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for efficiency and performance.
    • Maintain 24/7 availability of production database systems through proactive monitoring, performance optimization, and incident response.
    • Participate in oncall rotations to guarantee continuous coverage for critical systems.
    • Lead efforts on performance tuning, scaling, and benchmarking the database services infrastructure to optimize efficiency and resource utilization.
    • Collaborate with the Observability team to configure, implement, and monitor key performance indicators (SLIs) and service level objectives (SLOs) for databases and the database infrastructure.
    • Proactively identify potential issues and take preventive or corrective actions to minimize customer impact.
    • Contribute to knowledge sharing by creating new knowledge base articles documenting best practices and solutions for the Technical Support Center.
