    Job Title: Quality Manager

    Department: Quality Assurance / Operations

    Reports to: Plant Head

    Job Summary:

    The Quality Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality control systems to ensure that all printing and packaging products meet customer requirements and regulatory standards. This role involves supervising the quality team, ensuring compliance with industry certifications (ISO, GMP, FSC etc.), and driving continuous improvement in production quality.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement quality assurance policies, procedures, and standards across printing and packaging operations.
    • Monitor and inspect raw materials, in-process production, and finished goods to ensure compliance with quality parameters.
    • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective & preventive actions (CAPA) for quality issues.
    • Ensure compliance with customer specifications, legal regulations, and safety standards.
    • Maintain and update documentation for audits, certifications, and customer requirements.
    • Train and mentor production and quality staff on quality standards, processes, and continuous improvement.
    • Liaise with clients to address quality concerns and provide technical support on packaging quality requirements.
    • Lead internal and external audits (ISO, BRC, FSC, etc.) and manage certification processes.
    • Implement Lean, Six Sigma, or other quality improvement methodologies to reduce defects and improve efficiency.
    • Collaborate with R&D, production, and design teams to ensure quality is built into new packaging developments.

    Key Skills & Competencies:

    • Strong knowledge of printing and packaging processes (flexo, offset, rotogravure, corrugated, etc.).
    • Familiarity with quality standards (ISO 9001, GMP, HACCP, FSC, etc.).
    • Proficiency in root cause analysis, problem-solving, and statistical quality control tools.
    • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
    • Leadership and team management abilities.
    • Good communication and customer-handling skills.

    Qualifications & Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in Printing Technology, Packaging, Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, or related field.
    • 3–10 years of experience in quality assurance/quality control in the printing & packaging industry.
    • Prior experience handling audits and certifications preferred.
    • Exposure to Lean/Six Sigma methodologies is an advantage.
