Job Description
We are seeking a Structural Engineer (3+ years) to drive the analysis-to-validation lifecycle for advanced turbomachinery and Micro Gas Turbine (MGT) systems. The role is hands-on and execution-focused, involving the development of analysis tools and methodologies, guiding experimental testing, and translating design concepts into structurally robust, validated hardware for product implementation.
Responsibilities
• Execute finite element analysis (FEA) for machinery components and assemblies, including static, modal, harmonic, and transient analyses.
• Perform stress, deformation, and vibration analysis for components subjected to combined mechanical, thermal, and rotational loads.
• Support the design, analysis, and optimization of machinery components such as shafts, bearings, dampers, couplings, seals, gears, casings, and structural housings.
• Drive structural optimization for weight, stiffness, durability, and manufacturability while meeting performance and safety margins.
• Perform fatigue and life assessments (LCF, HCF, creep where applicable) for hot- and cold-section components.
• Evaluate thermal–structural interactions, including thermally induced stresses under steady-state and transient operating conditions.
• Support experimental testing activities, including test planning, instrumentation definition, test execution support, and data interpretation.
• Perform analysis–test correlation, updating models based on experimental results and identifying root causes of deviations.
• Identify structural risks early and propose practical, test-informed design mitigations.
• Prepare and maintain analysis and validation reports, assumptions, and documentation in line with engineering and quality standards.
Must Have
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.
• years of hands-on industrial experience in structural analysis and validation of turbomachinery, aerospace, or high-speed mechanical systems.
• Strong fundamentals in solid mechanics, structural dynamics, vibration, fatigue, and life assessment.
• Proficiency in FEA tools such as ANSYS Mechanical and/or NASTRAN.
• Experience with thermal and coupled thermo-structural analysis workflows.
• Working proficiency with 3D CAD tools such as NX, SOLIDWORKS, or Creo, with the ability to interpret and influence design intent.
• Demonstrated experience supporting experimental testing, including strain, displacement, and vibration measurements.
• Strong technical communication skills and ability to work closely with designers, test engineers, and manufacturing teams.
Good to Have
• Experience with hot-section components (combustors, turbine blades, discs, casings).
• Exposure to nonlinear analysis (contact, plasticity, large deformation).
• Experience with creep and thermo-mechanical fatigue (TMF).
• Familiarity with test instrumentation (strain gauges, proximity probes, accelerometers, thermocouples).
• Knowledge of aerospace or power-generation design standards, and certification practices.

Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with experience, including fixed pay and performance-linked incentives, aligned with industry benchmarks.
