    Description

    Overview:

    We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our finance team as a Finance Associate. The Finance Associate will play a vital role in managing various daily tasks related to accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), bank reconciliations, payroll processing, and month-end closing activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

    Responsibilities:

    Manage daily tasks including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank postings with accuracy and timeliness.

    Perform bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.

    Allocate and reconcile accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions to maintain accurate records.

    Prepare and post payroll journals accurately and in compliance with established procedures.

    Assist in month-end closing activities, including accruals, prepayments, and deferred items.

    Process accounts payable payments after obtaining necessary approvals from project managers or the Associate Project Manager.

    Review the work of trainees to ensure the accuracy and procedures are followed properly and provide guidance and support as needed.

    Min Requirements:

    • 1 or more years of experience in accounting and finance
    • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or professional accounting certification from a recognised body
    • Fluent English communication

    Qualifications:

    Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field ACCA or ACCA affiliate would be an added advantage.

    Previous experience in a finance or accounting role required

    Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP, etc).

    Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.

    Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.

    Detail-oriented approach with a commitment to accuracy and quality.

    Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
