Description

Important responsibilities in this role will include:

Have in-depth knowledge and subject matter expertise of specific technology area: For example, either of: - Technological domains such as Electronics, communication, software, information technology, semiconductor technology, etc o Technological domains such as Pharmaceuticals, Chemistry, Healthcare, MedTech, etc.

Elementary knowledge in other technical domains. Ready to gain knowledge in other domains to certain extent, to further handle projects along with other technical experts.

Knowledge of Intellectual Property (IP) fundamentals and/or Patent laws (US)

Have knowledge of key terminology, latest trends, key industry metrics

Conducting searches for identifying relevant results (i.e., patents, products, technologies, and/or standards) and technical analysis of the documents/literature related to the identified results.

Rating/ranking of results based on the similarities and/or differences identified with the relevant results.

Preparation of search reports based on the search results.

Experience in handling team(s) to perform patent Classification and Re-classification of patent documents into different IPC/CPC classes for specific technology domain(s).

Fair understanding of patent classification system and how different patents gets classified by the PTO offices.

Reviewing work products of other team members and handling client communication

Have knowledge of key terminology, latest trends, key industry metrics
Fair understanding of patent classification system (CPC/IPC) and how different patents gets classified by the PTO offices.
Experience in performing Re-classification of patent documents into different CPC/IPC classes for specific technology domain(s).
Reviewing work products of other team members and handling client communication
Experience in handling team(s) to perform Re-classification of patent documents into different IPC/CPC classes for specific technology domain(s).

Skills we're looking for:

Professionals with PhD, Masters, Bachelor's degree in:

Chemistry or Electronics and Communication/ Electrical & Electronics Engineering or Mechanical
With relevant work experience of around 5-9 years working in IP space
Experince to handle team(s) and handle projects end-to-end.
Advanced Excel skills. Optionally, VBA expertise is appreciated.
Effective project and people management skills. Managing teams of 4-8 analysts/senior analysts, and providing on the job training, mentoring and coaching for the team.
Coordinate with the client stakeholders to understand project requests, define scope of research and regularly communicate to provide updates on projects.
Demonstrate domain knowledge and thought leadership while dealing with client team.
Take pro-active charge of quality control process and ensure timeline and quality related SLA adherence.
Experience in handling IP projects/solutions, via automations and/or third-party tools
