Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced OTM Technical Consultant with specialized knowledge in agents configuration for our transportation management projects. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) along with proven expertise in designing, implementing, and maintaining OTM solutions with a focus on agents functionality. The role requires excellent problem-solving abilities, communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, configure, and implement OTM solutions with a specific focus on agents functionality to meet business requirements.
2. Collaborate with business analysts, stakeholders, and end-users to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
3. Customize OTM application using Java, SQL, PL/SQL, XSL, and other relevant technologies to enhance system functionality and performance.
4. Configure and maintain OTM agents for various transportation management processes including order planning, tendering, routing, and optimization.
5. Develop and implement integration solutions between OTM and other enterprise systems using web services, XML, and middleware technologies.
6. Perform troubleshooting, debugging, and resolution of technical issues related to OTM agents and overall system functionality.
7. Conduct performance tuning and optimization activities to ensure OTM system meets performance benchmarks and service level agreements.
8. Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members, including knowledge sharing and mentoring.
9. Stay updated with the latest OTM features, patches, and upgrades, and assess their applicability to the existing environment.
10. Collaborate with project managers to ensure timely delivery of OTM solutions within budget and scope constraints.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
2. Minimum 5 years of experience working with Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) in a technical capacity.
3. Strong proficiency in Java programming language and familiarity with related frameworks/libraries.
4. Hands-on experience in configuring and customizing OTM agents for transportation management processes.
5. In-depth understanding of transportation management concepts, including order management, planning, execution, and tracking.
6. Experience with Oracle database technologies and proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL scripting.
7. Knowledge of XML, XSL, web services, and middleware technologies for integration purposes.
8. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
9. Effective communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with stakeholders at all levels.
10. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
