Description

• Provision RDS instances, both in standalone, clustered, replica, crossregion replica
• Ensure performance, security, and availability of databases
• Prepare documentation and specifications
• Handle common database procedures, such as upgrade, backup, recovery, migration, etc.
• Profile server resource usage, optimize and tweak as necessary
• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders

• Strong proficiency in MySQL & Postgres database management
• Indepth understanding of data management (e.g. permissions, recovery, security and monitoring)
• Ensure all database programs meet company and performance requirements
• Should be handson in tuning & Optimizing SQL queries and stored procedures.
• Optimize sql statements, specially for dataload & dataupdate.
• Decent experience with recent versions of AWS RDS & MySQL
• Understanding of MySQL's underlying storage engines, such as InnoDB and MyISAM
• Knowledge of defacto standards and best practices in MySQL
• Knowledge of MySQL features, such as its event scheduler
• Ability to plan resource requirements from high level specifications
• Knowledge of limitations in MySQL
• A broad familiarity with existing standards unds in contrast to other popular relational databases
• Good knowledge of AWS, RDS
• SQL Concepts (Basic + Advanced)
• Troubleshooting skills
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as {{Git / SVN}}
