Procurement Engineer - Bengaluru, India - NKRF Products & Services

Description

NKE Group is a 40-year old company serving the defence, aerospace & space sector headquartered in Bangalore. NK RF Products & Services is a 'Make in India' manufacturer of bespoke RF & Microwave Cable Assembly.

We are looking for highly motivated, outcome-oriented individuals to interface with our vendors and manage procurement for our manufacturing facility. You will work closely with leadership and our production team to ensure that materials land in our store on time,

Total compensation for this role is INR 4-8LPA depending on years of experience.

Vendor management

• Reading and interpreting BOMs to identify products (via MPNs) to purchase
• Finding qualified vendors for the required goods and services & alternatives as required, and building relationships with them
• Evaluating and selecting the best suppliers based on factors like quality, price, and reliability

Purchase management

• Issuing purchase orders after finalizing agreements, and managing the payment process for vendors
• Inspection of goods and services received to ensure they meet requirements
• Coordinating with freight forwarders & customs department to ensure smooth flow of goods from international vendors
• Ensuring goods are procured in time to meet production schedules, in the most cost-effective manner

Other Responsibilities:

• Continuously improving the procurement process to make it more efficient and cost-effective
• Sometimes, training other departments on procurement procedures

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficiency in creating and managing purchase orders
• Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with cross-functional departments
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Experience in procurement or supply chain management is a plus
