We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Assistant Vice President (AVP) - Investments and Portfolio Management to join our team at Transition Venture Capital. As an AVP, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our investment strategies and driving deal closures.

Responsibilities:

1. Investment Thesis and Market Research: Identify Market and Technology Trends in the Energy Transition Sector. Basis the technology trends, generate investment ideas and build an investment thesis.
2. Deal Sourcing and Evaluation: Proactively source and analyse start-up investment opportunities, ensuring alignment with our investment mandate.
3. Investment & Decision Analysis: Lead in-depth investment analysis, including building business models and conducting commercial diligence to support investment decision-making.
4. Investment Memo Preparation: Prepare detailed Investment Memos for presentation to the Investment Committee
5. Term-sheet Drafting & Negotiations: Drive term-sheet drafting and negotiations in collaboration with legal and executive teams.
6. Legal & Financial Diligence Assistance: Project manage legal and financial due diligence processes along with SSA & SHA
7. Portfolio Management: You will be responsible for effective portfolio management, ensuring strategic growth and positive environmental impact for startups in our portfolio.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree plus MBA / CFA designation is strongly preferred.
• 2 to 3 years of Investment Banking/Consulting experience.
• Proven track record of deal closures, portfolio growth, and additional capital raises in the venture capital space.
• Strong leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills.
