- Analyze and provided product structure and work with the corresponding engineering product definition group to ensure the request supports our VC processes and standards and will clearly represent the products in the Order Management Processes (OMP) tools.
- Create the corresponding product structure in SAP VC to support the manufacturing operations.
- Communicate with the engineering product definition groups and manufacturing facilities the correct timelines and structure to support changes and updates to the product structures.
- Ensure that all change activities follow all configuration management policies and regulations.
- 3+ years of sales, ordering and manufacturing compatibility experience.

The Opportunity
This role creates and maintains the SAP Variant Configuration (VC) supporting all products sold to support Caterpillars Energy and Transportation divisions. This work will support the worldwide quoting and ordering performed by the dealers, the order management processes and support the manufacturing processes to complete and deliver orders.
Responsibilities
Degree Requirement: Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering or relevant work experience in SAP, SAP VC, Engineering, or IT.
Skills Needed
Knowledge of E&T Order Management systems with specific knowledge of SAP, SAP Variant Configuration processes, logic, and structure and/or Engineering systems and processes.Familiarity with Caterpillar Energy and Transportation products and business structure to navigate the engineering and marketing groups to ensure the products are designed to be accurate and efficient to quote and order.
