About the team

FIS SWIFT Service Bureau (aka SSB) provides SWIFT connectivity to FIS' clients. The team is responsible for new client onboarding, operations support and working on infrastructural projects. Also, responsible to monitor and support production applications to provide 99.9% uptime.

What you will be doing

At FIS we are looking for an experienced engineer to join the team SSB team. The successful candidate will deploy, automate, maintain, and manage FIS products systems (test/production), to ensure the availability, performance, scalability and security of the systems.

What you bring:

Knowledge / Experience

• 6+ years of proven experience in using Linux,
• Strong scripting experience in bash/shell script, SQL queries.
• Has knowledge of Linux system administration
• Experience with system monitoring tools (e.g.Linux embedded tools, Nagios, Xpolog).
• Ready to work in shifts environment.
• Troubleshooting application, communication interfaces, and system errors as needed to guarantee application availability
• Experience with ticketing tool (such as SNOW) around change management

Skills

• Ability to analyze and resolve complex infrastructure resources and application deployment issues.
• Experience with Agile software development, project management methodologies
• Knowledge and experience with configuration management tools (e.g.: SVN).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to build, maintain strong client relationships.
• Excellent analytical skills for problem-solving
• Able to take the initiative and work independently or in a team
• Experience in documenting SOPs to support daily operations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering (preferably Computer Science or Information Technology)

Competencies

• Fluent in English
• Attention to detail – track record of authoring high quality documentation
• Organized approach – manage and adapt priorities according to client and internal requirements
• Self-starter but team mindset - work autonomously and as part of a global team

Nice to have

• Experience with system monitoring tools (e.g. Linux embedded tools, Nagios, Xpolog).
• Knowledge around application security such as SSL, TLS
