    About the Position

    Job Summary

    We are seeking a highly skilled professional to provide expert technical guidance in developing methodologies that meet the needs of both internal and external clients. This role involves planning and coordinating the creation of comprehensive programming solutions that address a wide range of statistical programming requirements. The candidate will also offer technical leadership and consulting services, including detailed specifications and user needs analysis for complex projects.

    Key Responsibilities

    The successful candidate will be responsible for:

    1. Planning and coordinating the programming, testing, and documentation of statistical programs used to generate statistical tables, figures, and summary listings.
    2. Programming analysis databases (derived datasets) and managing data transfers for both internal and external clients.
    3. Implementing and overseeing database quality control checks as necessary.
    4. Integrating databases from various studies or sources to enhance data coherence.
    5. Developing and coordinating programming documentation, including plans and specifications tailored for complex studies.
    6. Providing advanced technical expertise to both internal and external clients, delivering project solutions independently.
    7. Leading the development, implementation, and validation of new process technologies, macros, and applications.
    8. Assuming project responsibilities at the level of statistical team lead for individual complex studies or groups of studies.
    9. Understanding the scope of work, managing budgets, and forecasting resources for individual studies.
    10. Offering training and mentorship to junior staff members.

    Qualifications

    The ideal candidate will possess:

    • A Master's Degree in Computer Science or a related field with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, or
    • A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field with at least 4 years of relevant experience, or
    • An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in lieu of a degree.

    Additional requirements include:

    • Proficiency in statistical programming and/or the clinical drug development process.
    • Advanced knowledge of computing applications such as Base SAS, SAS Graph, and SAS Macro Language.
    • Strong organizational, interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
    • The ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
    • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
    • The capability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and clients.
