Power BI Developer, Services Operations

Role Summary:

The role will principally be responsible for developing and maintaining dashboard data in Power Bi, serving users at a range of levels, including managing access and permissions.

They will ensure reliable user data in OpenAir and work together with key stakeholders such as HR and IT to resolve technical and process issues and champion best practice by maintaining clear guidance for all Services teams.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Ensure high quality data byDevelop and maintain dashboard data in Power BI, supporting decision support for a range of users.

Maintaining all system user data, proactively reviewing in line with HR census updates across the services group.

Performing routine and ad hoc audits of systems data, highlighting issues, and working together with user groups to resolveProducing ad hoc reports to support user community.

Ensuring all users are granted access to the relevant training materials and that communications are clear on the training content available.

Champion best practice and consistent system use byActing as a subject matter expert, sharing lessons learnt and best practices across the services group, building relationships with stakeholders across all relevant teams to ensure good quality and reliable system data.

Liaising with IT to manage systems access and permissions, ensuring visibility of assigned permissions and managing change.


Experience and Education:
Proven experience as a BI DeveloperBSc/BEng in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field3-5 Years Industry experience is preferred.
Background in data warehouse design (e.g.

dimensional modelling) and data miningIn-depth understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP) and ETL (Extract, transform, load) framework.

Familiarity with BI technologies (e.g.

Microsoft Power BI, Oracle BI)Knowledge of SQL queries, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)Proven abilities to take initiative and be innovative.

Analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitudeExcellent oral and written communication skills as well as excellent presentation skillsStrong relationship building and interpersonal skills.
