    Description

    Basic Function / Job Responsibilities

    • Collaborate with Governments, industry experts, academia and other stakeholders to build a strong understanding of emerging technologies like AI and how best India can benefit from the use of these technologies.
    • Engage with Government and industry to advocate for policies that foster innovation and responsible technology adoption.
    • Work closely with President to prepare the industry point of view on issues related to emerging technologies like ethics etc, and engage with stakeholders to drive the right approach for the country.
    • Be the go-to person for emerging tech in Nasscom and work with the internal teams to ensure right focus and priorities for deep tech initiatives.
    • Represent Nasscom at industry events, conferences, and media engagements as the primary evangelist for emerging technologies.
    • Build thought leadership via articles, public speeches etc to drive advocacy.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • M.Tech / MS with 15+ yrs experience in Technology space preferably in large enterprises or deep tech start-ups
    • Exposure to working with the Government
    • Should have been in Tech advisory role to CTO / CEOs / senior stakeholders

    Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Travel requirements

    • In-depth knowledge and understanding of the latest trends and advancements in emerging technologies such as AI, blockchain, IoT, cybersecurity, and quantum computing
    • Ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders to promote Nasscom as the go-to authority on frontier technologies.
    • Strong learnability – should be able to learn about new technologies and stay updated with trends
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Exposure of working with multiple stakeholders at senior leadership levels in organization / Government
    • Strong analytical skills and capability to work in a project environment marked with insufficient data and derive meaningful conclusions from apparently ambiguous information
    • Should be open to travel as needed
